He is such a freeking idiot. He needs to just keep his mouth shut. Whatever he says just comes out as stupid. The boy just does not think before he opens  his mouth.  And to think they made a BIG deal about Vice President Quayle misspelling potato all those years ago. Next to Biden that makes Quayle a MENSA graduate........

The more his boss keeps him out on the 'trail', the more I like it !!

I'm really looking forward to the VP debates - Ryan won't have to spend much effort to make Biden look silly - he'll do it himself!  And Biden characterizes his idiocy as a plus - brags about "speaking what he really thinks".  Commentators suggest Zero should just dump him and put someone else on the ticket - like Hillary.  But admit it's too late for that - besides Hillary is eyeballing 2016 and doesn't want to be associated with the ticket.

Biden is better than ceramic body armor for Obama.

Even the most ignorant racist doesn't want a President Biden.

Besides, next to him da Pres looks like a brainiac.
However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

if Romeny addressed the NAACP last month with any kind of talk that Biden used, why they'd still be labelling him a racist on the sunday morning talk shows

Watching Joe Biden "perform" to the NAACP reminded me of a movie.

Bob when it comes to politics it is obvious that you view the world through rose colored glasses.

But you honestly cannot believe that you are comparing Apples to Apples here.

Romney: A goofy and obvious "WHITE" guy is interacting with a group of African Americans that are apparently pleased to be interacting with him, quotes a line from probably the only rap song that he has ever heard. (I absolutely hate rap but I have to admit that I have found myself singing, "Who let the dawgs out"). NO-ONE there seems to have been offended by his use of the phrase. I would guess that is why you didn't hear much about it.

Biden: A goofy and obvious "WHITE" guy is speaking (campaigning) to a group that is largely made up of African Americans and says to them that the GOP will, "Put y'all back in chains". His remark drew immediate ire from the crowd and was obviously insensitive and offensive. The local news ran this story when it happened and interviewed some people who were there, to say the least they were not pleased with Biden's remarks (these people were staunch Democrats BTW).

The point was that this is really a faux outrage over a clumsy metaphore, which both sides have been guilty of committing.  The difference is whether it is recognized as such and let go or a big fuss is made over it.  I won't defend what Biden said, as I'm sure he probably regrets how it sounded after he said it.  But when listened to in the full context, and I'm sure Fox News played it in full context, it isn't as bad as it sounded.

RP#62

I don 't think the outrage was over how he said it, it was over what he said and the hypocrisy of treatment from the press and the democrats.  Had he said "He gonna put US back in shackles". that wouldn't have been so bad, that wouldn't have been as divisive, but he said "He gonna put You back in shackles.  That was over the line. That was making light of historical injustice.  It would be like telling a Jewish audience that he's going to put you back in the camps (and doing it with a German accent).

Had a republican done that, we would have never heard the end of it. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and their ilk would have rended their garments in outrage and led rallies and the press encouraged clamor would build demanding that he step down.  With Joe, well, its just Joe being Joe and he gets a pass.

So, then you're not concerned that the context was a lie to begin with.  UNCHAIN Wall Street.  In Romney's first 100 days he will let Wall Street run wild.

I can't recall Romney saying any of this.  Can you?

So, here we have Biden, trying to "speak black", lying to the black people in the crowd, and telling them that Romney wants to send black people back into slavery.  AND YOU DEFEND THIS!!!!!!  How sad.

No...I'm not defending it.  I said it was a clumsy metaphore that sounded alot worse after he said it than it did the split second it ran through his brain.  In context, yes, Romney has said that he would "Unchain Wall Street" from regulations such as Dodd-Frank and such that are meant to protect consumers.  Actually, I think Romney said "unshackled", but what's the difference, really.  So Biden was referring to those statements by Romney and equated unchaining wall street to letting them run wild (without regulation) and then, rather stupidly, made the leap that the chains would be moved from wall street to mainstreet...aka, "y'all".

In addition, relating to my original post, I was saying that this is the sort of clumsy, stupid metaphore that people often make when trying too hard to relate to a group that they are not normally associated with...like Romney's dorky "who let the dog's out" statement.

So, it's a clumsy metaphor for a lib, but had a conservative said those exact same words in the exact same context, It would have been racial "code". :tickedoff:

I love how the left keeps inventing new terms, now you don't even have to say something that is actually offensive, you can offend people in "code".  :uglystupid2:
