By east coast food I assume you mean "expensive", right Dave?

In all fairness to Arkansas, it was hot everywhere this year, including Michigan, and just about every other place where Inzane has been in the past.

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

I hope it's ok to be selfish, so I vote for somewhere in Indiana.  Or somewhere close.

I like the idea of it being somewhere near the geographic center of the country.  I thought the town of Eureka Spgs was very hospitable to us.  It wouldn't upset me if we went back.

--Or--  any hilly resort towns in Kentucky, Tennessee or North Carolina would be fine with me.

Mammoth Lakes, Ca

Just stayed there on a recent ride.  7800' elevation, cool temps, small town, close to Yosemite and some great mtn rides in area.

Or South Lake Tahoe. Elevation 6260'.  Great rides in the Sierras.  Casinos, lots of things to do.  Hiking, riding.   Great ride around the lake.  Spectacular scenery.

Northern Ga, or some where in the smokies. Or Little Switzerland, looks like a big enough Hotel.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

You just might be on to something.

It's on the left... but the point of the graphic is just showing where most folks came from this year.
But since you asked, here is 7% of Inzane XII attendees:

I agree, Eureka Springs was a fun little town with some great riding.   I'll go back in a heart beat as far as Kentucky, Tennessee or North Carolina goes, I'll be there and if I can help make it happen, I'd be glad to.

The GWRRA of Kentucky just had their annual gathering in my home town, I rode over and spent some time with them, (they are distant cousins ya know)  asked them why they choose Frankfort, the response was, Frankfort has the facilities, the roads, and is located close to three interstate highways so it's easy to get to.  The fact that Frankfort is a "wet" city and has several distilleries in the close proximity surely didn't hurt either.

But, it doesn't matter me me, I'll help if I can or just travel to where ever it is.

Thats a real nice place Bill, nice roads and scenery.

Thats a real beautiful area too Chris, been there with my wife.
It's one of our favorite spots within a days ride. Real cool place, good roads

I vote somewhere in the smokies, not necessarily gatlinburg. Too busy. I agree with fudd, kentucky tennessee or north carolina. Maybe even south carolina. Somewhere with mountains, colorado?

Jabba

My vote... not that it matters at all... is west.

I regret NOT going to the ones in Frisco Co.  I'll be going west next summer one way or the other.

How about upstate NY, in particular the Adirondacks?  Beautiful scenery, twisty roads.  Howe caverns (over 150 feet underground) and Whiteface Mtn. (4800' above sea level) in a single day trip.  Side jaunts to Niagara Falls or our good neighbors to the north.  Just sayin'...

Thunderbolt

Some where new and cool.  A cooler month might make any place more tolerable.  I know it helps folks with kids to have it in the summer, but would be a lot more pleasant in another month with about 10-20 degree cooler weather.

Maine (Portland anyhow, I don't know much about Maine geography) hit records highs (100)
this July. In general, I bet there's a lot of nice places in Maine...

All those North Georgia area suggestions sound great  ;) ... we roasted here this summer,
but my morning ride through North Georgia on my way home from InZane was
deliciously cool... NOT GATLINBURG  :tickedoff: ... The highest point (God's air conditioner)
on the Blue Ridge Parkway is near Maggie Valley...

Mammoth Lakes is almost as far away as China as far as I'm concerned, but
I bet that would be a GREAT place... I think all those lakes are full of snow and glacier
melt...

PA or NY would be perfect (admittedly, perhaps only for me).  NY has the finger lakes and wine country as well as some awesome rides.  PA has....well....PA has....ummm....PA has....the PA Grand Canyon?

hubcapsc

How about upstate NY, in particular the Adirondacks?

Someplace called Maine, NY had awesome temps during InZane this summer, and its
not even in the upstate... somewhere near Binghamton...

Personally, I think there should be more regional gatherings.  Though I loved Inzane and I will attend again, I only have so much vacation and if Inzane is too far away, I'll most likely not make it.
Though, once I retire, I won't care where it's at.

I also believe that the average age of Valkyrie riders puts them generally past having small children at home that need constant care or in some cases observation and or confinement ;).  So, I'm in  favor of earlier or later events.

Hey man... I have a 5 year old...  yeah... OK  I am almost 44, and my peers have kids in college, but that's irrelevant.

Oh yeah... My brother lives with me... and is a built in babysitter when my wife and I take a bike trip...

OK.  Nevermind... whenever is good with me.
