I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

BigAl

Simple Choice, a Urban Chicago Thug, or a Man that has made good Moral Decisions all, I repeat all of his life.

Obama only wants to rule you like a subject.

Romney wants to leave you alone to be free and excell in all your endeavors.

Obama, raised by communists.

Romney, raised by Free Market Champions.

Obama, never created a single job.

Romney 100's of thousands.

What do we need right now, jobs to start the recovery, taxes will catch up to spending, eps. as we lower the spending.

Obama is a dead end.

Romney is the new beginning we need.

He has gotten the job done, Barrack never will and has no plan.

This is so stupid to have to explain this to grown, free Americans.

It is in our nature to do the very best we all can do.

Believe in America and vote a leader in , not an organiser.

Al i tend to agree with you. We CAN NOT afford another 4 years of that sorry a$$ed P O S that is there now. He and his female need to be somewhere anywhere but our Whitehouse after the elections. Where is Pat Paulsen when ya need him-none of the above.  :2funny: Yes on Romney and a very emphatic NO FREAKIN WAY IN HELL fer the obominater. RIDE SAFE.

I watched 2016 Obama, the Movie, it was a real eye opener, not buyist, only an observation of the facts.

By the way it did not even mention Romney, Only about Barrack and where he is coming from

The Choice looks good a s well.

Wow!

I'm curious if other readers here agree with BigAls list. It is BS. Reads like propaganda.
AND IT IS NOT CORRECT.
Or is this the conspiracy where the administration fixed the numbers?

I am willing to concede the whole grownup thing. So why spew BS at us?
I get you hate the guy, but making stuff up just erodes your credibility.

The Job numbers weren't fixed, unless they fixed Canada's as well.

GJS

No, unfortunately I don't have a vote in the US election.

I am however subject to the fallout.

When the US sneezes Canada catches a cold.

As a Canadian I am fearful that the USA has lost its way. And I don't think Romney is the answer.
I do see Obama as the lesser of two evils.

But, Yes I do have a stake in this.

Like I said, the USA sneezes, Canada gets a cold.

I have a stake in the outcome whether I or you like it or not.

When US housing starts hit the wall 2008, our local lumber industry almost stopped.

Kinda like how the USA has a stake in global oil. They may not control all they suppliers, but they have a stake in the game.

So.. are you pleased with how Obama killed the Canadian pipeline to export Canadian oil to the U.S. ?  This would have beneficial to both of us....I'm trying to grasp how you think Obama is the lesser of 2 evils?

We are so screwed I cant see either one unscrewing it. One (who knows which) will only prolong the inevitable  :'(  The question is , Are we better off dragging this out or should we put the big girl panties on sooner instead of later ?     Where are we going ? And why are we in this hand basket ? ?

GJS

I don't think that pipeline should happen.

The Alberta Oil-sands oil is the dirtiest fuel on the planet. That is a fact.
Worse than Coal.

We have a global warming problem.
Putting in more infrastructure to ship the polluting product to the highest bidder is not showing leadership.

Burying our head in the sand and pretending we don't have a problem, is the problem.
Same thing that happened with Tobacco is happening with Global warming.
As a result of those tactics, some still believe Tobacco does not cause Lung Cancer.
I don't think we need to wade through decades of corporate recite to figure this one out.

By subsidizing more Oil infrastructure we are only putting off solving a very real problem.

I can only pray that Obama has the balls to stand up for what needs to be done.
You can only pee in the pool so long before someone has to say stop.
The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it.

The one word answer?
Money.

A very unfortunate truth in our culture is that the shortest distance to credibility is making money.
People think if you can make money you must be smart. They are wrong.
Rich people are just like everyone else. 90% of them were not in the top 10% of their class.
They just have more money.

The rich don't need to be wise. Yet they control the destiny of our political systems and our leaders.

Notice how both parties compare how much cash they have raised? I'm sure that makes the single mom working at WalMart feel better about her lot in life.

We got here because we let it happen. We have let greed run amok.
Don't get me wrong, I like money, I have made more than my fair share.
But when I hear the phrase "Time is Money", it makes me sick to think that people believe Time and Money are equals. They are not.  I was 28 when my net worth tipped the 7 figure mark. I'm in my 50s now. You know what, I can't purchase my 20s, 30s or 40s back.
Time is not Money. You can always get more Money.

Best to make good use of your time! Be the change we need.

The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it.

Well I don't expect we will turn this around tomorrow, but I do think we should get started already.

How about you? What are you going to tell your great grand children when they asked what you did to stop global warming? It might be hard to explain why we increased our consumption of fossil fuels.
Or don't you think it is happening?  :uglystupid2: :coolsmiley:

As a side note. I do have a Solar array and series of Solar heat collectors.

The very last question. Why are we in this hand basket?

When you say " rich people are not wiser, just have more money", you make it sound like they found the money on the sidewalk.

They worked 16-18 hour days, 6-7 days a week.  Gave up social life, family life, etc. to get there.

The other guy, just went and got a job, worked 40 hrs a week, and bitches about how much the other guy has!

I imagine you fit in very well in socialist Canada.

I think we all agree that the economy is in the toilet.   We presently have someone in the Whitehouse who claimed that he could fix the problem.  With control of both houses for two years his only accomplishment was to cram Obamacare down our throats.  He has no business experience, and seems to think that the best cure of our economy is to share what I've worked for with those who don't want to work.

The alternative is a man who's been successful in business, successful in turning around the Olympic games, was a successful Governor, and who has a running mate that also understands the economy and business.

I say give the man with experience a chance to turn things around.

Boy can I relate to some of this, coming from Downunder look what I have for a "leader"
Bundle her and Obama together and ship both, don't care where but mark do not return to sender.
Iran is nice these days I hear!
Our end of the world is being bled dry by our illustrious leaders who (party wise) have bugger all real experience in running a business let alone a country ( the majority are ex unionists or union lawyers) never run a company or business to actually make profit..
Sad story all over.

How about if we wait for someone to take what we have worked hard for, for all of our lives only to be re-distributed to those who don't deserve it?

It's been going on for a long time but everytime I get my phone bill and I see an amount going to pay for somebody elses phone, it lites my arse up!!! Especially when I see people being given multiple cell phones and others bragging about their FREE "Obama phones"

I do not belive that Man has created global warming/climate change or whatever term is currently being bandied about by liberal/progressive/tree huggers who want Man to revert to a non fossil fuel society.

The current US government has squandered 90,000,000,000 dollars on "green energy" that could have been better spent creating a secure AMERICAN economy by job creation.

Then Canada might have felt the benefit of a stronger AMERICAN economy.

Shame Canada with all its resources has to depend on another country for its economic security.

Good to read that with your solar panels you are no longer dependent upon any energy source created by fossil fuels. Unless of course you still are???

..

As has happened previously on this forum I ask a reasonable question only to have it evaded by a proponent of liberal/progressive views.

Please explain the effect of solar flares, sunspots, Atlantic and Pacific currents, polar jet streams, previous ice ages etc etc to us so we can benefit from your sagacity.

Krakatoa is one of the events that warmists have "forgotten".

Global climate

In the year following the eruption, average global temperatures fell by as much as 1.2 °C (2.2 °F). Weather patterns continued to be chaotic for years, and temperatures did not return to normal until 1888. The eruption injected an unusually large amount of sulfur dioxide (SO2) gas high into the stratosphere which was subsequently transported by high-level winds all over the planet. This led to a global increase in sulfurous acid (H2SO3) concentration in high-level cirrus clouds. The resulting increase in cloud reflectivity (or albedo) would reflect more incoming light from the sun than usual, and cool the entire planet until the suspended sulfur fell to the ground as acid precipitation.[11]

Global optical effects

The eruption darkened the sky worldwide for years afterwards, and produced spectacular sunsets throughout the world for many months. British artist William Ashcroft made thousands of colour sketches of the red sunsets half-way around the world from Krakatoa in the years after the eruption.

In 2004, an astronomer proposed the idea that the blood-red sky shown in Edvard Munch's famous 1893 painting The Scream is also an accurate depiction of the sky over Norway after the eruption. This explanation has been disputed by art scholars who note that Munch was an expressive rather than descriptive painter.

Weather watchers of the time tracked and mapped the effects on the sky. They labeled the phenomenon the "equatorial smoke stream". This was the first identification of what is known today as the jet stream.

This eruption also produced a Bishop's Ring around the sun by day, and a volcanic purple light at twilight.

*Edit* The two previous posts were done while I was typing mine...

Is this your way of saying that you too believe we are just experiencing a little bad weather, on a global scale?

GJS...  No doubt, we should do all we can to preserve this lil' rock in the heavens, to the best of our ability.  Recycle, no burning tires or plastics, strive for cars with better gas mileage, so on and so on...  But to believe that man, in the very short time he has been around (not to mention the industrial age is not that long of a time, in the big picture), is causing the climatic changes is really giving us more credit than we deserve.

The earth's climate is cyclical, has been for millions of years.  The big glob of ice that covered most of the Midwest millions of years ago didn't disappear because of a caveman building the first fire, or because of wooly mammoth farts, it is part of what the earth has always done...  Temperature readings have been being taken for maybe 100 - 125 years, with some sort of accuracy.  To say the average temperature of any given area has risen 1.7 to 2.3 degrees in the past 100 years, is such a small sample of time, that it really gives up nothing to go on, other than the temperatures are slightly warmer.  I believe, back in the 70's we were being warned about 'Global Cooling'.  Whatever happened to that?

As I said in the beginning of my reply, I'm all for taking care of mother earth.  That being said, those that think man and his way of living are the sole cause of the slight temperature increases here on earth, are just a bit full of themselves.

Strapping on the flame retardent jock strap  ;)

And why does "Global Warming" or "Climate Change" equate to taxing me more to send money to OTHER countries that have no plan, activities, or even desire to clean up their own acts?

And why has the elctorate forgotten about this little cap and trade scam (global wealth redistribution) that the Dem/Libs wanted to impose on all of us?
