Running late and no coffee yesterday, I was about half way to work when my engine started losing power and sputtering.  I was just about to reach down and switch to reserve when I.........REALIZED THAT I WAS DRIVING MY TRUCK!  D'OH! :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2:

No, but after a weekend of riding, I find myself trying to stick my hand out a closed window to wave at other motorcycles!
Ride more; talk less

Jack

No, but I have turned around and gone back home because I "left my glasses" only to get there and realize I was wearing them!  :coolsmiley:

Worse thing after a long ride is to be walking and look for rear view mirrors.  :-[

I frequently reach down on the right to turn off the beemer. Doesn't work to well since the key is up on the steering stem. I also keep looking to turn off the petcock and it ain't got one.

I've done all of that after a long day of being on Patrol on the motor.

Friday's after our shift, we had to turn in our motors for service.  Yeah, they used to service our HARLEY'S  Every Firkin Week.   After 5 days of riding, there was a lot of freaky things.   Like sticking your arm out the window to signal a turn.  Our early Motors didn't have turn signals.    We always had a squad car in the parking lot for our use.

When we got the Kawasaki's, they went in for service after 3,000 miles, unless ya had another problem, they they serviced it while doing the other fix.

Old2soon, its funny you mention that.  After spending about an hour teaching the spousal unit how to back up a camper with her jeep, we unhitched the camper, went to leave for dinner and she promptly back into the side of my jeep.  You are very correct.  turning the opposite way in yer car no workee very good....

Was raining this morning so I took the truck. As I walked into the plant I realized I was wearing one of my riding jackets. Was out of "dew" this morning too.  ;D

A couple of times I've gotten out of my truck to gas it up and realized I'd pulled in on the left side of the pump just like I do on the valk so I can put the kickstand down if I want.

When I'm traveling I'll frequently go though a couple of gas stops without getting off the bike. Then, when I finally stop and get off the bike I feel kinda dizzy. Sometimes it lasts until I'm rolling again, then it's gone till I stop. Guess I just ride better than I walk.

often have to check my speed through the hills on a Monday .My Transit van doesnt corner as well as the Valk.

Nope, never done any of those things.

But, there is a rumor that I once had intended to ride to work, was all ready to mount up and roll when I realized that I had forgotten that I needed to take a few items with me that would not travel on the Valkyire well so, grabbing those items and the truck keys, off to work I go.

I assure you, wearing a helmet while getting out of your cage in full view of your co-workers is not an experience you'll forget soon.   ;)

As I said, it's just a rumor but you know how those things get exagerated.

Not likely to happen to me.  I drive my bike almost exclusively.  The car leads an easy life, less than 1,000 miles on it last year.

Save a horse, ride a Valkyrie

Riding the bike on a cold morning, I reached down with my right hand in an attempt to turn the heat on.
