F6B or K1600GT?

I've got this heavy on my mind but I own ( 3 ) Valkyrie's that's PAID for ....Who knows I may go for it I like it much better than the Goldwing     This is the closest thing to the Fat Girl thats came from Honda since 2003.

I agree, you're comparing a bagger and a sport tourer. In a comparison like that, it depends what you're using the cycle to do.

The GTL is a totally different kind of machine and technologically way ahead of the F6B. Weight difference is also significant, the F6B is a porker. Now if Honda would wake up, maybe the F6B could be competitive. I'll stay with my Valks.

I like them both but why did Honda drop the cruise and reverse??? Those are the two most apealling things about it. :tickedoff:I think when right deal comes around on a 1800 wing I will pull the trigger.

My local service shop sent me a link to the F6B and compared it to an HD Streetglide, not the Beemer. Different strokes I guess.

I'm with Salty on this.  The Beemer is 160 HP and will take off like a rocket.  Plus, its lighter than the Honda.  The technology is very high on the BMW.  The GTL has the coolest GPS I have seen and the controls for music are excellent.  I love both Honda's (some) and BMWs.  What chics can you pick up?  You pull up on the Beemer and on a Goldwing and see who gets the classiest chic on the back.  Loved my Valk, now I love my Beemer.....

Not really comparable machines IMO. I love the beemer and would have one if I could. Also love the look of the Honda. What did they really do though. Shorten the windshield, lose the trunk, different seat, paint some things black. Is the motor the same as far as induction system and exhaust note? Pretty sure the insides are the same. I love the look except from the back, that view is absolutely awful. Like the Beemer though, I'd own one if I could, it's just I am more than a little worried about my finances since last Tuesday.

Odd that you asked this question as I sat on a GT down in Florida last week,  I liked it but I want to see an F6B, not sure either will provide the comfort or torque of my current ride.

If money wasn't an issue, I would look seriously at this Beemer.  I've test road an RT and a K series bikes a few ago, but the cost was prohibitive.  BMW dealers do not need to drop price to sell bikes.  They are real sweet rides IMO.

Objectively speaking, since I'm not going to buy either one of them, I hate that Bat Mobile styling of the BMW. I know how great it is..blah, blah, blah. My I/S is all I want it to be. I have had 2 GW's, loved them. The F6B, without reverse, is no improvement over my bike. I do miss reverse though. But even when I did have them I wanted a Valk, now I do, I love it, I will keep it until I no longer ride.

I have ridden the 1800's and you will cook on them when the fans kick on.  My choice hands down would be the BMW.
