Old Alan Ladd Movies

are great if you can find them. I just watch " the proud rebel" on DISH. 1958 was the year. Most in the those years were not very good, but Ladd was better then most. Ladd was always my HERO. I liked him better than most. The older Actors did not do as well under the Dirctors as today. You could take a so-s0 actor and put up with todays Dirctors and make them a SUPER STAR. Ladd was a good actor and good Arkansas boy.  I enjoyed what movies I can remember seeing him in.

Ladd played many leading man roles, but at 5'5", they had to dig trenches for many of his leading ladies to stand in during closeups.
