-7 FOR A HIGH!!

Just saw the 5 day weather report, they're saying negative 7 as a "high temperature" for Monday!!

That's F-ing cold!!  Thankfully that's only for the one day, I remember one year we had 17 days straight and the high temp never got above zero, then for three days it was about 32, then the next 20 it was back down below zero for a high!!  That year was a long long winter.  My biggest fear is for the cycle.  Not the van or anything else, just the Valkyrie!!  I stored it in my trailer this year so that it was "out of sight, out of mind", that way I could concentrate on my other cycle and get that running.  I know the anti-freeze should be good, I had just changed it last winter, but there's always that "what if?" thought in the back of my mind!!!  I checked out the cycle last weekend when it was a nice 40 degrees out, it was frosted all over the engine!  Didn't like the looks of that but there was nothing I could do about it.

Does anyone else store their cycle in a trailer during the winter months?  The guy I bought my cycle from use to do it every year.   Don't think I'll be doing that ever again!!  It's tough not seeing the girl but once a month......  (love sick)

it was 17 on the deck this morning, supposed to get warm this afternoon, then drop tonight and stay down for the next few weeks. Hey, its Feb.

I think the year you are thinking about was 2003 (4?). Rifle deer season out here starts the 1st Mon after thanksgiving. It was -7 pre windchill in the am, and it didnt get warmer. Stayed like that all winter. On the days it hit 20, you stripped down to a flannel shirt and a vest because of the heat wave.

I have found the valkyrie to be tough and resilient in the cold.

The only worry is the battery. It appears to be the only weak link.
