has anyone made a COLONOSCOPY appointment yet?  T.P.

Better late than never! Yesterday, 13 years late to be exact. The doc asked me why I skipped my first one. I shouldn't have. No there wasn't anything wrong but the test just isn't bad at all. No big deal really. Laser Pat was in my thoughts and will always be in my prayers. He just keeps on doing good.

Please don't put it off. I heard a lot of "results" being verbally delivered as I waited for my turn. I now know what I'd like to hear afterwards. Mine was perfect. Others, not so.

Had my first one at the V A last year. That durn soap water they give me was a definite shuttle launch. But i can't tell you a thing about the procedure. I was out like a light. The good  news is i are clean as a whistle. Next one when i turn 71.  No excuses guys and gals-get it done. It may just save your life. I talked with three of my neighbors here and two of them have already made their appoitments. The minister i live next door to is gonna take a little more work. RIDE SAFE.

Well some good news on my neighbor the minister. He goes in tommorrow for his T V camera up the wazoo. Told me he took the time to sit down with his Doctor and long story short he is getting the procedure done. Thank GOD for small considerations. RIDE SAFE.

Well i had it done thurs. If your putting it off like i did get it done. It was a piece of cake. I was even semi awake the whole time. Got to see the inside of the poop shoot. I even left with pics of the process. Doc said i was clean as could be. I have been told that i'm a perfect ass now it has been proven and thats no $hit. I thought i should post it back on this thread. You are not forgotten rest in peace Laserpat.

My wife is a RN nurse for 20 yrs at a  hospital where we live.    She knows all the doctors there too.    She lined me up for a colonoscopy a couple years ago.    They rolled me into the proceedure room and got ready.    I'm laying there on my back and looking at 2 doctors and an anathesiologist.   The anithesiologist is holding a mask with a hose in his hand hovering over my head and he asked "Do you have any questions before we start?     I looked at each one of the doctors in the room and I said "Yeah.....is there anyone in this room pissed off at my wife?"     They were still laughing as the anethesiologist put me under.

They won't let you leave right away, until all the gas is out of you.
So they send in the sweetest lady (grandmotherly) and she tells me to get rid of the gas.
Had a hard time with that, I was raised so you wouldn't do that infront of a lady.
I got over it in a hurry-I figure she'd heard it all before so what the heck.

Had mine done 9 years ago at 50. Doc said that I was "clean as a whistle" and needed to have the next one in 10 years - Crap, that's next year!! ???

Not the very best way to spend a day, but, most folks survive it. Just remember to get the nurse pull your finger afterwards.

Make sure you get the laxative pills and NOT the fluid.
Fluid tastes FOUL

Also get some lubricated toilet paper

And install a TV in the bathroom...that's where you will spend the day prior to the Colonoscopy.

Because of crones decease. I have had
5 what are called resections and when I eat
it moves fast.
   So please guys do it for yourself and those that love you.
