And they're pristine!  :cooldude:

I posted about seeing and hearing these a while back here....... http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,44936.0.html

I do believe they are from "Thunder Manufacturing".
I'm told there will be no need to re-jet. Hoping this is true.

So, did you have to buy the whole bike to get the pipes, like you were talking about?

If you're talking about Matt's at Carolina Bike And Trike " Thunder Exhaust " I'm pretty sure those are not his....They look like Jardine to me with a " add-on " on the end  :-\ If they are Matt's the header pipe should not blue....If they are Jardine they will blue before you see 2,000 miles on them....I had a set of Jardine on one of my Valk's many moons ago.My guess they added the rear piece to get them pass the sadllebags ,lots of heat going off the Jardine exhaust and they ended about right in the middle of the saddlebags.

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

I picked a set of these up from Pinwall, did not have smaller outlet these have.
Infact had no internals in the cans though there were holes to suggest there had been internals at some time.
Barked real well, end up cutting them off at the collector and adding a pair of 12" Hotdogs in 1 3/4" piping. This size gives a smaller OD which allows 4" truck stacks to slip on real easy. Welded 3 pieces of 1/4 rod on the outside of the Hotdogs which gives any air gap between the  mufflers and the stacks. The original mounting brackets were welded to the mufflers.
Brilliant sound
Cannot comment on required jetting as I had already played with the air box and rejetted, though these are around 1 1/8" ID headers against the 3/4 stock tubes which would suggest a slightly richer set up maybe required.

If they are "Jardine" you'd think they're logo would be stamped on them someplace, unless I'm not seeing it.

These ones are not blue, but the header pipes are not chrome ........ maybe they have be changed out......don't know. Stainless perhaps??  :-\

They have been used though, as the inside of the header pipes has a bit of carbon in them.

Not sure if the center pipe is an add on or not, I'll have to have a better look.

As far as what I paid for them, I'm thinking I'll keep that to myself for now just in case I don't like them and want to resell them. I think I did okay though according to what I see other systems going for.

"Blackduck", great info thanks for posting!  :cooldude:

Looks like I'm not the only one to come up with the "tip within a tip" concept.  ;)

It's possible the head pipes on the set you picked up are Jet Hot ceramic coated. Semi-shiney finish that will not stain or discolor. If so it will last a good long time on the Valk!

I have heard these pipes before on this bike if they are the same.

They ran the bike in the shop for me. Even in an echoey place like that, I didn't think they were that loud. They had a deep tone to them. If they turn out to be louder than I would like, I'll just sell them. They sure look good though!  8)
