'00 I/S CB Antenna Replacement

I need to find a replacement antenna for my '00 I/S. None on ebay. The Honda Parts sites don't even show it in their selections. I went to the Honda dealer yesterday and it stumped them. Until one of the seasoned sales pros (a woman) said that the CB wasn't offered as a factory option in '00 so it was a dealer-installed add-on. So now I know where I CAN'T get one. Anyone have any idea about who may sell one or what a crossover might be?

I have seen a few that could be modified to work...I mean ANY CB antenna could be made to work, but I am looking for one that is the same length as the radio antenna. I know the length difference may not matter for performance, I don't plan to use it much anyway, but I don't want two different size antenna. Call me crazy (many doctors have) but sometimes it IS just about looks.

Many have had to cut down a the Gold Wing antenna stay to fit the Valkyrie. I was about to do that when a fellow VRCC'er generously GAVE me his. You just can't beat the great people on this board!!

BonS----I may have to do the same thing. The only stay I can find is in an ebay auction where they are selling the stay, antenna, harness and cb radio all together. I wonder if the am/fm stay fits the cb antenna? May have to buy one to find out.

No, they're mirror images of one another.

BonS-- sorry, I am easily confused (or so says my girlfriend). Does your post mean I CAN use the radio antenna stay for the cb antenna stay?

No, NOT interchangeable.  One is for right, one for left.  They do come up on ebay, one a year or so!  A Goldwing one can be cut a little to fit,,  and look about right.

Got it.....I will just buy an antenna stay grommet to cap off the cross bar and wait for one to pop up. Or, I may cap them both and go with two completely different antennas and mounts. I am sure everyone will be on the edge of their seats wondering what I will do.
