Why don't these fit an Interstate ?

Got a line on some used ones for reasonable, but won't bother if there is no way to make them work.

What's a good solution for the 6'4" Interstate pilot ?

They will work fine on an Interstate.  All you have to do is modify the air scoop on the bottom of the engine guard.  I have a set on my 2K I/S, and just cut out part of the scoop.  None of the others have this feature, and you can remove it with no ill effects.

Thanks, Blaster. I'll go take a look at my scoop. Care to elaborate  on what's involved in cutting it ? Tools, etc ?

I didn't want to cut into the scoop regardless of no ill effect.
That bracket will fit where the bar angles back towards the mounting bolt.

Since I'm only 5'10" I utilized Kury's 3" offsets that I already had to bring the pegs back. It may just work for you without the offset since your taller.
The other thing I like about them there is the peg angle attributed to the bar angle. It's places the pegs more in plane with my boot sole & ankle/knee position.
Might be worth a trial fitting.

If you didn't have the extra offsets on there, that would put the pegs up against the rear of the crashbars, correct ? Does anybody else have photos of theirs that they could post ?

I put mine like this (on the curve) perhaps that would make them miss that scoop doodad on the
Interstate:



When I was reading about them on the VRCC product review page, people were complaining
about the knuckle scraping in the turns... my forward control would scrape if I got low enough,
but the knuckle doesn't look too much like it would, perhaps because it is mounted on the
curve... anyhow, it's good to make sure you add a bunch of stuff that will drag, I may yet
rue the day I put on the forward controls (but I loves them so far...)

Naw, just a bad viewing angle. That shot was cropped from a whole bike pic.
There's plenty of room for the Kury pegs behind the crash bar with the clamp mounted reward where the mount bar returns to the frame.
