Took the Fat Lady out for her fist ride after installing the new Works Shocks. I have to say; they're everything I've heard. What a difference. . . . .

Works Performance. They build 'em to your specs so ya have to deal with them directly. I had a Works shock on a BMW & it was great.

I see you have them on a IS. Do you ride fairly heavy, what sort of length and shock type did you go with? Thanks, need to upgrade mine.

Not an I/S. A tourer. Like the other post said; you deal with them direct and they special build each set to your needs. I asked for stock height so I don't know what length they are. They decide. Mine have been on the bike for about 50K now. No problems. You can order chrome springs for more $$$ but I liked the powdercoated springs better. I'm about 220 lbs and asked for springs for 225. Go a little heavy on your weight estimate (add 25 to your actual weight).

I put Works Perfomance shocks on my I/S, along the Gold Valve Kit and springs form Race Tech on the front end earlier this riding season. I am very happy with the results in comparison to the stock setup. Works Performance is a great company to work with.

Will they add the Chrome Covers ?  Or make them to Hide the Springs and use Chrome Covers?

I never priced new factory shocks wonder if they are out of control like progressive are?

^^^ Also, it turned out, there was a pair of Valkyrie Works Performance shocks available from the manufacturer at their EBay Outlet store. Fitted my riding and weight parameters perfectly and were more than $100 off retail. Brought the price down to considerably less than equivalent shocks from Progressive.

Note that their Ebay Outlet store is limited to product returns, discontinued items, etc. But it's worth checking out for bargains.

When I bought my IS last year, it had Works shocks installed.  I know next to nothing about them.  Their website helped some, but I would like to verify the previous owner's install, and check for mainyenance needs.  What should I be looking for?  Information of note:  there is evidence of an oil leak around what appears to be the fill port at the top.  Work's website talks about those fill ports not being user-serviceable.

I'd suggest calling Works Performance and let them know what's going on. They're good folks to deal with.
