Passenger Floorboards

Can anyone tell me the best place to shop for passenger Floorboards for a 99 I/S. I have done some searches on the web and it gets a little confusing. I have been told that the Cobra boards do not fit the interstate. I was leaning towards the Kuryakin mini boards. If anyone has suggestions I would love to here them. I have never did much additions to the bikes I have had and this I/S does not seem to need much. Just trying to make the wife more comfortable for the longer rides. Thanks

I put a set of Kurykan hiway boards on the back. Just had to do a little grinding to the hole in the back. But now they match my front highway boards.

Why not? I have some on my Tourer but am sure that I have seen some on Interstates. Someone here will certainly confirm this or tell me that I'm full of it LOL!

but i dont see any reason for them not to fit an IS. but on my tourer the pasenger has complained about the dicomfort of the cobra floorboards they are at the wrong angle and needs to be indexed so they are at a slight incline

The more I think about it, the more I'm sure that I've seen them on some Valk Interstates.

That's surprising. Every passenger comment that I have heard were very positive. Note: These have been on mine for at leat 4 years if not more. Have you adjusted the incline on yours for your passenger?

Cobra's will fit........

All my passengers before I went solo never complained about the boards to me.

No, I'm serious. My youngest grand daughter peas & moaned to her mom they were confining. Mom told her she could move her feet so long as she didn't toss the bike around on grandpa. Her mom rode many many miles on a rear seat with me, over a hundred thou over the 9 or 10 years she was my summer traveling companion, we did all the lower 48 state capitols and Alaska. When her & her husband went to Hawaii with us in 2000, she even rode with me to get the capitol there, on a rented Harley. Then mom & I did it. Don't take too long to do a full circle of that Island.

Grand kid tried it and rode lots miles with me till I quit taking passengers,

Weg's wife, Mother Teresa, was my last passenger, & that was from the eatin joint to Ground Zero the 1st time we were in Johnson City.

If you don't want to part with ~$250 for the Cobra boards, there's a guy on eBay selling the Jardine passenger floorboards for $110 -significantly below their original MSRP. I ordered a set for my Tourer, and the quality is excellent. However, they are not quite a full-size board like the Cobras. If you can live with them (I believe they'll fit an I/S), the price (IHMO) is very attractive. Terry

I have a set of Rivco adjustable floorboards for the rear. But when they were comfortable for the wife. They hit the back of my legs every time I stopped. I rode with them 2 times and took them off. I am saving them till I have a grandchild that wants to ride. They adjust up about 5 inches or so. So would be a good option for that. You might look into those. Not cheap. I think about $450.00

I have Kuryakyn - #7907 Passenger floor boards and they work fine.

i came across this post and he has cobras on his IS. they look like cobra pasenger foot boards
