Not any worse than what happened in a small town of Argyle nearby our small town only 20 miles away when the sicko father and his younger brother locked his 3 kids and wife inside their house and burned it down to the ground.  All for the insurance money supposedly which there wasn't any to begin with.  All 3 young kids died and wife survived just barely.

Also in country nearby hicktown of South Wayne also about 25 miles away,  a non local younger guy killed 3 older adults by hand/knife just recently.  Guy was mentally unstable apparently and needed to be locked up long ago as well as the freak of a dad who would set fire to his own house with family inside. 

Goes to show you that even in rural midwest USA small town living, there are psycho's all over and to not trust anyone ever.   

Seriously been thinking of getting a handgun and carry it in pickup (unloaded, in case,  but bullets nearby) as well as in cycle and on trips with SUV because you never know when you may need it for self defense.  You hear about crazy attacks almost daily now and mostly younger adults who are just plain psychotic enough to not value human life at all for some money.
