It sure was a nice day out and a nice gathering.

I will post a few pics my wife and I took later tomorrow when I get online with my regular computer.
Thanks for getting this started "Rio Will", so whats next?

Very nice to meet everyone that was able to show up today.

To Mike and Carter,,,, I bet you guys were wondering why in the He!! we followed you all the way to the far side of Gilroy? Well the ride was just not long enough and the Wife and I needed some more wind in our faces. I wanted you two to see what it looks like when another Valk passes you running somewhere over 105.... Now you know it's looks like a Red & Black BLURRRRR.

Here again, left to right; Fordmano and his wife, F6TRVLR and his wife Miriam, and Magellon....(Matt your the one guy I didn't get a chance to talk to and would have liked to....perhaps next time....Please apologize to your wife for me for not getting her name.

Starting left to right;  777Kingsman, Steve, and Free Pass....Oh yeah that's me right there in front...why I'm so dang good looking you can't see me. Here's a filtered pic of me

My bike pics are primarily dups of what you all have already shown so I did not add them.

mike4sho

Thanks for sharing the pics and getting the meet and greet put together.  Was a great gathering and a small world. Carter met the previous owner of his bike and I met my boss' brother in law.  All them bikes were sweet looking....especially those really beautiful looking red and whites!

Matt I was wondering what you were doing.  Thought you were coming to the house to help me install those progressive shocks  ;D. Your I/S took off fast!   Never seen a valk move that fast.  Very smoooth.  Good seeing you again hopefully we can ride again soon.

It was great to get together with all those Valks and their riders.  Seen people I knew, and made new friends.  I hope we can get together again soon, and this time lets all ride!  Maybe Mt Diablo or something?

Hi All.....my apologies for not getting back to this thread earlier, got caught up in family 'honey do's'.

I just wanted to say thank you to the 13 bikers and 2 spouses that had the passion and energy to come to our "Gathering of the Valkyries" meet and greet.

We had folks that came from 400 miles away (Mike and Miriam), 200 miles (Dick), several from 100 miles and the remainder from 20-50 miles......we are a spread out bunch!!!!!

Meeting in a shopping center parking lot does not seem very outdoorsey,  but for the first meet up it gave us a chance to put faces and names together and perhaps assess whether we would like this to be the start of something fun as well as educational.  We swapped many tech tips, talked about creative little options for the bikes, some bling, some nifty little things like a hidden ignition key that is openly visible, but you wouldn't know it.

We had lunch at a Panara Bread restaurant, and were able to congregate outside and sit under the umbrellas and enjoy lunch while continuing to swap stories.  We have several good photos, many are already posted and I have a few more that might show some bikes a little closer up.....what the heck, can't take too many photos.

I couldn't believe that out of 13 bikes, 3 were the gorgeous red and cream machines.

Again, I want to say thanks to everyone that attended and hope it was a worthwhile endeavor.  I know I enjoyed it immensely and will try to get a few more photos us soon.

So, here is enjoying the wind with a bakers dozen...... :coolsmiley:

OK OK OK..... so sorry, I didn't get back to this thread as I had stated I would.
So These may look familiar but they are not the same pictures since they are from my phone and my wifes and not yours! LOL!

In no particular order,,

I think the sidecar was a hit with more than just us Valkyrie owners,, maybe a future owner?

Hey fordmano, I've ordered the belly tank, and I've already received the petcock rebuild kit that I ordered.  I should get the belly tank sometime mid-June.  Lets organize a wrench-it party!

Thanks for sharing the pics Matt.  Looks like you are going to be one busy bad with all the wrenching parties.  Doctor radiator is going to see some business!

So long as you guys can meet my schedules I am generally good to go!

Broken or ill Valkyrie? Bring it, I may not be able to fix it but I will be willing to mess it up worse if that makes you feel better about your own abilities... LOL!

What about Sunday of the 4th of July weekend? (Think 4th is Thursday so that makes Sunday the 7th?) Mike you know my space is limited but I can get a few things moved around the yard and make some space. Let's chat and see if we are gonna put together something for that Sunday? Hollister Rally is Fri, Sat & Sun that weekend I am going on Friday took the weekend off if anyone wants to go with us.

I guess I could smoke a couple pork shoulders for pulled pork sandwiches?

Matt, you have a lot more skills than you give yourself credit for!   I may do the Hollister thing since it's so close.  We can always do something at my house if we need the room.  I just don't have all the cool tools and I am an hour away.  I got the cruise control on my list!   That + the belly tank = all day riding!

Thanks Mike, you know what some say. We can be the most critical of our self, and I fit that statement.
Thank you for you confidence in me and my work.  :cooldude:

Yeah, I know Alph! When Mike bought my sidecar, he liked the dragon so much that he asked me if he could keep it on.  I'm glad that the rig is still getting smiles and miles.

Here's the original rig.
