2003 with about 25,000 miles (I know, I'm ashamed  :-[ ).  Carbs never cleaned.  Always used Stabil before every winter.  Leaving for Inzane in two weeks so I have no time to bring it in for service or to even attempt a carb cleaning myself.  Is there a carb cleaning product you recommend?

Seafoam, Techron, Berrymans B12. If the bike is running well, mix it as the can says. Sluggish at idle. At least double the strength and take a can on the trip to use in multiple tanks.

But it in the tank at the end of the days riding, and run the engine long enough to get the misture into the carbs so it can soak over night.

I do this at the beginning of the season, and find my minor poor performance goes away. Just did my 1200 mile VRCC BC Rally ride last month, and idle is a lot smoother now.

G, like gordon says  pour it in swish it around run a few minutes then next day take a GOOD ride

I use the seafoam it works unclogging the mower as well as the Valk   :cooldude:

I will be around in the morning on July 4 if you want to do a ride in the morning on the 100 -  301 - 9  loop

+1 All good products. I like Berrymans Chemtool to clean things up. Periodically I'll mix a full can to a tank of gas and run it out the same day. Works for me.

I'd like that.  See you around 8:00 and we'll have some breakfast somewhere at 10is and then head home.
