We had a great time this year. Best year ever!
We met alot of people on the way out. Even some from around home by me. Camp was nice but quiet.  :-\ The showers and bathrooms were close and food was good. We will stay there next year. We finally hooked up with Dana. We tried last year but it didn't work out. We made arrangment at Ghettysburg and it worked out well. He showed us the ropes at One Eyed Jacks. Thx Dana!  :cooldude: The bar maids were smokin! He even paid a chic to whip my ass, sorry for the hairy-bruised a$$ pix! Our favorite bar was the dungeon. Really neat place with the writting on the walls, bras & underware on the ceiling, and signed dollar bills stapled to the ceiling. Dawn was a great bartender. She always new what we drank each night we came in. We took Da Bus into town when we would drink heavy. Da Bus pix us up and drops us into town and then returns us back to camp. Beats getting a DUI! Stormed 2 nights but we faired well. Rained when we left so we didn't make it to the Little big horn this year. Big storm rolled in later and dumped 3" hail in town. Whew! Missed it. Never did get to people watch, every time we tried it stormed and we rode home in the rain.
We rode spearfish Canyon, Iron Mntn Rd, Needles Highway, Vanocker Canyon Rd, went to Devils Tower, Center of the Nation Monument, Deadwood, Mt Moriah where Hikock and Calamity Jane are buried. Oh, also where I dumped the bike  >:( , hence Kits leg bruises! Cemetary is on a mountain and parking lot is sloped and we turned into it.  :uglystupid2: We weren't the only ones dumping them. Another guy said it took 3 guys to get his parked right.
All in all a good trip with alot of memories. Wish you all coulda made it with us. Seen alot of Valks this year.
Thx again Dana. See ya on the Bourbon Run next June or at One eyed jacks at 'your table' in 2010!  :cooldude:
10 days at 2698 miles.

:o Caught Me! Yea were are now engaged. She said she would post it if no one caught it. Good eye!!  :cooldude: She came back and picked out a set. Funny story tho. I found this outhouse in the woods in 06 in spearfish Canyon. So we stop every year and there is the creek accross the road we soak are feet in during the hot days. Must be 40 deg water. So its kinda been our spot. We'll try and do it in Sturgis 2010. Always wanted a biker wedding. When we get back we will have a big ol party. All are invited!

I'm gonna be in Indy on Sat the 29th to work the Moto GP race on sun. If you want maybe we can meet up at Hooters in greenwood or a place of your choice if your not busy.

Fudgie,

I used your pictures to settle a discussion we had the other day.  Who was buried next to Wild Bill Hickok> We all agreed on Calamity Jane but unsure of who the other person was.  I was swearing up and down it was a man but others were't sure.  The picture of Potato Creek Johnny  headstone and a quick search on Wikipeda proved I was correct.

Thanks.

Yea it was. I never heard of him till this time around. We went to the Adams museum in Deadwood and they had a small exhibit on him.

Your welcome. I saved that pic of Rushmore coming through the tunnel that you guys took. I like it. This year we went the other way thru the hills and I liked it alot better.
I know what you mean about going alone or select folks. We would like some of our friends to come with us but we know if they did we would have to be 'tour guides' and we wouldn't get to enjoy, stop, or do what we want to do.
You both making the CBR this year?

I'm shooting for the one in Greenwood. They have a full bar!  :cooldude: $10 pitcher of Margaritas sound tasty.  Greenwood is only 15 min from work so it makes it convienent. I'll check with Kit tomorrow and maybe we can make a VRCC meet & greet outta this!

........CBR is definitely on the list of .."must-do rides"......we know Doc puts on one heck of a ride and weekend for all his friends, and we want to ...."experience the experience"........unfortunately...through no fault of our own...we,ve been forced to....pick and choose our rides this summer....so right now its a wait and see thing......but if the stars line up....who knows......right now were playing it by ear..
