Buzz Bolt Question

I've tightened the buzz bolt & also filled the tube with silicon. This is an improvement but hasn't cured it.

I'm thinking the next step is put a washer between the tube and frame. My question is - what's the easiest way to get at the tube, remove the gas tank ?

I think the real question has to be, can you truly eliminate the "Buzz"  like totally man ?

if you have the kury trans covers, all your buzz may not be the buzz bolt. remove the left side trans cover and put shims between the alternator bracket that the alternator cover mounts to or what i did was use dynamat on both sides of that thin bracket..my bracket was sitting in there vibrating and making a great deal of noise. when the engine was under a load

Ok, here's the update.
Pulled the left Kury trans cover and isolated the mounts as per Lonerider's advice. This might have helped a bit but it wasn't the problem.
Pulled the right Kury starter cover and did the same, no change.
Pulled the rear brake cylinder cover and found some signs of it contacting the chrome swingarm cover. Isolated this and it helped.
Pulled the plastic frame covers at the top at the front of the gas tank, installed double sided tape under them, no change.
Removed the thin chrome mesh radiator cover. This seemed to help quite a bit. Will order a new 9 bar radiator cover as I never liked the look of that mesh one anyway.
Tightened everything else I could think of and it's now pretty reasonable. Not quite 100% but I think I will take Aquaman's advice and just live with it.

I had an occasional chirp from my Interstate, Tightened bolts. checked belts. still chirped. Last front tire change noticed 2 pads inside of front fender that were loose, pulled them off and chirp disappeared .

I seems to me the buzz bolt is not really the bolt but the collar spacer around the bolt, held between the frame mounts.  You can get that bolt TIGHT, but the collar spacer still rattles.... and I suppose that's why people fill it with RTV.   I went back one more time and put a breaker bar on it and jerked it another half or three quarters of a turn, expecting to break it.  I think I actually (slightly) bent the frame mount(s) on one or both sides to finally clamp the collar spacer tight between them.  Never had a noise since.  (Well, not THAT noise)

Yes, it is that spacer tube that rattles and not the bolt itself.  The substantial torque of the Valkyrie tries to twist the motor in the frame.  The mounts absorb that force, and the effect is that the 2 frame downtubes are spread apart ever so slightly.  At somewhere around 3,000 RPM there's enough torque and vibration from the motor that the tube rattles.

Some owners have inserted a washer between the spacer and one of the mounts to tighten things up and eliminate the rattle.  I just tightened the bolt a bit.
