Mr Whiskey

Thank you all for the prayers, they're working!
Sugar & I are home tonight. Sugar has broken ribs 2,3,4,5,6,7, & 8 on her left side. She also has a broken left big toe. She's got road rash on her face, hands, knees & one large patch on her belly.
None of the broken bones are "displaced" & did not require any surgery. No punctured lung!
She is resting as comfortably as I can get her on the couch, & percocets. She can walk on her own
& is breathing as normally as one can expect with 7 broken ribs.
I have some pretty severe road rash from my hands, all the way up both arms & across both shoulders to my blades, stitches in both elbows. A sprained left wrist, sprained right thumb, & 2 broken toes in the middle of my left foot. If you saw me you wouldn't believe the toes actually hurt the worst.
We are beat up but nothing life threatening, we will both heal.
All road rash wounds have been debrided, (that was worse than I remember it last time, cause I had to watch them do it to Sugar) & we are on antibiotics to help prevent infection.
I'd like to say a special thanks to the fellas who went above & beyond the call in getting me back to my wife's side asap! Thank you Gentlemen! If not for you guys I might have stolen the nearest machine & tried to ride back to Knoxville.
No news on the the guy that hit us other than he did lose most of his left foot, (I saw it laying on the pavement). I intend to try & check on his condition tomorrow & will let y'all know if I find out anything.
Would like to know if Sam got home okay? I saw him in the E.R. waiting on his wife to drive in from Atlanta to pick him up. Said his left shoulder was dislocated. Didn't get to talk to him long, they called me to triage & buy that time it had been about 7 hours since the accident, I was ready for some pain meds.
My Brother Lawdog is goin' after "OldNo7" for me tomorrow. The contact info for all 3 Valks (Ours, Sams, & Rogers are all there) is...........

I sure hate to hear news as this. We that love motorcycles sure need to be on our knees first to pray for our brothers and sisters then to ask Jesus to save us from our sins.    These Tn. hills that i grew up and love so much are fun to ride but we still must respect these mountains that people from all over the world come to enjoy.

That SUCKS!!! So glad to hear no one is in serious condition. Not that breaking most of your ribs is not serious. Wishing you all a speedy recovery.

I haven't seen a post from Sam yet so I will let you know he did get home Early Sunday morning I think. I talked to him on Sunday after he was home and he is doing pretty well.

Just before Steve, Jeremy and I left the Knoxville hospital they basically kicked Sam out to the waiting room with a "to go" meal so they could use his room for the next patient.

He did mention on Sunday that there was no part of his body that didn't hurt, but his spirits were good.  :cooldude:

Great to see Whiskey's report. Glad He and Sugar are home too.

All y'all heal up good.

Chris told me that when the tow truck arrived to pick up Roger's black Valk, the other two black Valks were on the same roll back.  :( Not a pretty site, three beat to hell black beauties.  >:(

Whiskey so sorry to hear this , but it is great to see you post and glad you and your wife made it out alive and will pray for a quick recovery for  all that were hurt. We have been to the Dragon twice in 6 weeks and have seen crashes both times!!

So bummed to hear the terrible news from the weekend.  Never met anyone involved but it hit me like a sledge hammer.  Whiskey, remember those perks don't mix well with the pride of Lynchburg, one at a time!

Britman, thanks for updating me, I did not see that post this morning. There are no words to say.

I'm hoping to hear some good news in the future regarding the healing process for Whiskey and Sugar.  I'm still hoping to hear the best possible result for Sam.

If YOU don't have a couple of ICE (In Case of Emergency) numbers in your phone you need to!

So do it NOW before you forget.

NOW just do it. Don't be lazy.

Don't think it will never happen to me.

JUST DO IT.[/color]

You speak the truth Britman. After I got hit they searched my cell and found the Sheriff Department listed. They called the number and then notified my wife of my accident. Old story but, its not if, its when.   I never saw the fool that hit me coming! He hit me in the ass. Another thing, I let someomeone know as close as I  can where I may be going. I hope the people involved make good! It sucks!

Good advice Britman, I did it on Sunday, after finally tracking down Roger's wife.

What all should we include? I inculded Wife and kids names and numbers, added my address.

Anything else to include on ICE?

I just did it...

RIP Roger...

If your phone is password protected, get an ICE lock screen app - I believe they are available for android, ios, windows, and blackberry.

Sam, Whiskey, and Sugar - glad to hear you're recuperating.
