Well as the ladies are growing older and with no clear replacement in site (the new GW is nice, but they took too much off of it), what is the bike of preference going forward.... the Spyder?  rocket 3?... BMW?....

I like the looks of the 2014 Harley Switchback, but I would have to really check it out before I would ever buy one.

I also like the Moto Guzzi California 1400, but again I would have to see how reliable the bike is before I bought it.

+1.  I hope to ride my Valk for many years to come.  If I had to switch, I can't see myself on anything less than 6 cylinders.  I've been spoiled!

I like the Victory.  Not sure if I'd do a cruiser, bagger or tourer, though..  I like the versatility of my standard.  I can pretty much do any of those with a few bags on/off.....

Which bike handles easy in town but is comfortable for the long rides like my ol' gal?

i got on the new f6 wing and it is light as a feather, however NO, self cancelling directionals, NO cruise, NO reverse and .....?

i think they siad there was a upgrade option but i think it was for the heat seat and grips. 

i think they screwed up for the sake of a couple of $$ and #'s.

I think I already have it. My 650 V-Strom sits next to the Valk in the Garage. With the Comfort mods I have done, it could easily be my only bike. That is IF something happened to my Valk.

I brought a ST1300 to replace one of my Valk's. So far I love it very fast and handle's great but my butt gets sore after 250 miles might have to get a new seat. Now I need to sell a Valk.

Looked at the rest.  Nothing is better than my Valks.  V-Twins are underpowered and the Wing has too much plastic.  The BMW is too techy and I would hate to maintain it when it is 16 years old.  When they make something better than a Valk, I might consider it.

A used VTX1800 or used 1832cc goldwing or used victory cross country my top 3.  But, if I had to pick one right now it would be a 01-05' goldwing.

I really like the look of the New Victory Cross Country or the NEW Indians, don't mind the look of the F6B.  IMHO, THERE ARE NO NEW BIKES WORTH THE MONEY THEY WANT FOR THEM!!
However I do own a 98 Wing (rides and runs well), 02 BMW K1200LTE that is a blast to ride, gets mid 50's mpg under 70, 40's in the 80's, has all the stuff I like and is cheap to buy, though not for any kind of new parts, but lots of used goodies available, And it will do 65 mph in 1st GEAR!!!

But:  My favorite bike is the VALK...would trade off the Wing in a nano second for a Valkyrie tourer or IS. The beemer will hang around til I wear it out, right next to the Valk.

NOTE:  I have sprung for an Elio, just cause I think it's cool and with a heater and A/C will be my next everyday run around vehicle.

I finally made it over to Greenville to see one the other day. I sat on the one with the
leather bags (I like hard bags) because it's the one that had no fairing (don't so much like
fairings).

It felt great and light (I know it is not really light weight) and looked very high quality.

Yea Cutter, the Wing (I have an 07) is a fun ride, but I find myself riding it very fast.  I guess it is so quiet that I have to keep an eye on the gps or the speedo to keep it somewhat legal.

It is only an old man's bike if you ride it like one.

and since I only turned about 9,000 miles this year (basically back and forth to work) and she only has 39,000 on the clock I won't need another bike

The last GW I had was the ones they put FI on and had all kinds of troubles.  I think it was 75 & 76, mine was a 76.     

My youngest daughter and I put many many miles on it and had no problem IF she carried her 1,000 shot water gun.

Honda put the fuel pump tooooooo close to the exhaust.     It would boil the fuel in the pump and make it vapor lock.

Honda had 2 recalls on it and none of them cured the problem.

One of our state gathering, we were in the South.   I spent more time trying to figure out what was wrong than we did riding.       An old boy in his late 80's asked where the fuel pump was, told him I don't know, haven't been that deep into it.      He looked around on the right side and I looked on the left.    About 10 minutes after we started looking this old timer found the pump and he said it was HOT to the touch.     We took his car over to a novelty store and I bought the daughter a 1,000 shot water gun.     It would start to stutter, she would lay a stream of water on the pump, and off and runing we went.

One winter I decided I was going to fix the problem.     I rerouted the gas line and raised the pump about 8" from the exhaust, and no more problems.

It was called a SEi.     I will say one thing, 2 up and pulling a trailer you did not know the trailer was there.

My youngest daughter and I got a lot of her states checked off her vest on this bike.

I had several of the states she needed that were close by, she said if you have to go into that state again, lets get another picture of the state Capitol.    So that we did.    I had about 98,000 miles on it and Jim Adams at Ames Cycle made me an offer I couldn't refuse for a NEW Yamaha, it was the top of the line, but I forgot the name of it, All I can think if is Royale (something).    Put about 70,000 on it and decided I wanted a Harley FLTHC, I think that was the letters, it had 65,000 miles on it, with one engine rebuild and ready for another one when it went in the door and MGM came out of the door.


This was the place it wanted to ride.

MH - I wasn't planning on this and I certainly wasn't finished with the I/S. I only had a little over 249,000 miles on her and she wasn't done either. I did take a big hicky for the miles from the ins folks. They just don't understand..... This one I pick up only had 4500 miles on it  The MC is my main transportation, I leave the 3 other 4/6 wheelers parked 

I do plan to pick up another Valk. They are one of a kind.

Love my 2001 Valkyrie I/S. Had it for sometime now and it just runs and runs. Told the wife some time back if I get another bike it would have to be a Boss Hoss. I cannot see going from a 6 cylinder to a v-twin. About three years ago I bought my 2004 Boss Hoss. It's a blast to ride also.  Kept my Valkyrie I will not get rid of it! Out of the two bikes the Valkyrie is still my favorite.

I have a Valk and a Rocket III.  Two friends have the Vic Cross Countrys and can't stop talking about how great they are.  Of course, they have never owned a Valk. 
The Rocket isn't for everybody and it reportedly has some inherent problems.  Vibration and a bit of clatter from the engine are two.  Also, the Rocket is very tall and is built for a 5'10" or taller rider.  The Rocket III is a hoss and it is a hoot to ride.  I haven't ridden over 350 miles in one day on it but I wasn't wore out afterwards.

I saw one the other day in white that was simply gorgeous. 

Even though I like Harleys, they're too small for me....I've never been on one that I didn't feel cramped.  The Victorys I've seen seem to be built for the taller/bigger rider.

Unless Honda surprises us ,keep dreaming,keep dreaming, the Victory Cross Country would be on my short list. Also the F6B, but the F6B option kinda leaves me thinking why not just get a lightly used Wing

Was at the dealer about a month ago. Son in Law was thinking about a different bike.

Anyway

The salesman (owner) said he was at a Honda dealer conference (or something like that) and Honda said they are going to roll out the new F6C in November. It was still under wraps at the time.

He thinks this will be the "new" Valk.
