I know if this happens at my door - and I see them coming - there will be a firefight.  Yeah they will kill me.  But I don't want to live in my country if this is what it has become.  Too bad some of the dead will be unthinking brainwashed teenage troops.  Guess I can't be selective - whoever is blasting at me will be my target.

soon there will be comments from those who don't see this coming
to them I say, wait and see-it's already started.

why do we stand for our rights to be taken from us? We are losing them a bit at a time and too many don't grasp that it is actually happening.

I, like Mark, will be shooting back.
I, like Mark, will likely be dead.

Just talking with a co-worker about the future.  We both feel sad for our kids generation more so than ours which is for most of us over 1/2 over already.

I'm sure our parents said the same thing about us growing up, but I find most kids teens to in their 20's are lazier than when we were growing up wanting the world by the tail and not actually going out and making a hard earned effort to make a go of it.

I've seen college educated bachelor's degree early 20's kids I have trained at work ask me how I do so much work for so little money and yet the newly hired are getting paid more than me for doing basically nothing and then quitting less than 1 year later for a better paying job where they once again do nothing.  Welcome to the new America!   Some of the issue is from the supervisors NOT putting their foot down and telling them to quit sleeping at their desk for 1-2 hours (NO JOKE) on company time and give them ONLY ONE warning stating if happens again, you ARE FIRED!

Are you denying what happened in New Orleans?  It was heavily covered on the news - even the mainstream media, though they played it down, showed the police bashing down doors.  And the police chief did say - in front of cameras - "no one will be able to be armed - we are taking all guns."

American History

Obama Surrounds Himself With The Most Extreme Appointees In American History
The Western Center for Journalism, a Steve Baldwin Exclusive
OB DC400 0209ob G 20090209202427 Obama Surrounds Himself with the Most Extreme Appointees in American History
President Obama speaks during a news conference in the East Room of the White House.
Much has been written about Obama's controversial appointments, not only to the federal bench, but to key cabinet positions, as well as to the unaccountable (and probably unconstitutional) "Czar" positions. Much of the criticism has dwelled on the Obama administration's lack of vetting when filling these rolls—but that's not the issue.

To the contrary, the Obama team did investigate thoroughly and they choose precisely. When an administration repeatedly nominates hard-left individuals, it's not a vetting error—it's a pattern. We should not allow the media to portray these appointments as a series of errors; but rather, we need to realize that Team Obama is simply nominating those who share their goal of radically changing America.

Most Americans have a hard time understanding this because they refuse to believe Obama is this extreme. But he is. For a year prior to his election conservatives warned voters that everything we knew about Obama indicated that his views were far from the mainstream. This was obvious when one analyzed his friends, which groups he funded while a "community activist," his Illinois State Senate record, his United States Senate record and even what he wrote in his own books.

The reality, of course, is that Obama's views are far from the mainstream and it is embarrassing so many Americans fell for his leftist candy-coated lies. Indeed, it appears that Obama is the most far left President in American history. His appointees only confirm this. These appointees hail from the crowd who regard their pedigree as the 60's activists who cheered on the Vietcong, while American boys were slaughtered in the jungles of Vietnam. They hate America, or more precisely, they hate America's heritage; American institutions, and the American Constitution.

Many of these extremists nominated by Obama hail from academia, where they were shielded from outside scrutiny while they quietly indoctrinated our youth. But don't let the cloak of academia fool you; they are out to change America in ways most Americans oppose. More importantly, Americans need to realize their views are Obama's views.

The American media is partly responsible for bringing such extremists to power. There is little doubt the media engaged in a massive propaganda effort to convince Americans that Obama was some kind of hip moderate; a breath of fresh air, a reformer, and someone who would fight the corrupt ways of Washington. Until Americans wake up and stop relying on the mainstream media for their source of news, they will continue to pay a heavy price for their ignorance. Unfortunately, this report covers just a few of Obama's policy-makers, but there are many more such extremists within his administration.

There were some similar ugly incidents after the Boston bombings.  Found some on youtube but not as bad as NOPD.  I'll have to do some more googling, I'm sure there are reports but I'm working on another project right now, don't have time.

Meanwhile I wouldn't poo-poo this issue based on your sky-is-falling scenario.  Times, politics and esp the situation in the fed is much different and worse now than ever in the past, for patriots & 2A.

Do I work for the military? Well I'm not in the military so no. Do I work for a military contractor and hold a security clearance? Well, I may or may not have at one time or another and may or may not (again?) someday.

The military has had protocols in place for breakdown of local authority and mass-hysteria events decades. It has it's origins in the red scare of the 50's but has changed shape through the years and contains many contingencies. To understand why it's not really publicized (but not strictly secret either) you should do a little research on posse comitatus. Also, the lunatic fringe makes a big fat deal out of it all the time.

I'll give you a hint though; if you're really good with a search engine, have an idea where to look and willing to do some digging, certain words and phrases might be your friend. That's all I can say without getting specific.

The continuum, with Fascism on one end and Communism on the other end is not a straight line, it is a circle.

For all of the times I've asked for something to back up a claim and been rewarded with crickets... Just a few keystrokes man, just a few keystrokes and a little ingenuity and you'll have the info you need.

BTW, you work on an active military installation, right? Because I do too and I've seen nothing of these "pamphlets". I haven't asked the OP of that claim to provide proof (you did that for me). But maybe I should? Of course people in certain positions need to be careful about how much they say and share. Working on a military base and holding a clearance, I'm sure you can understand that much. Right?

i just get a lot of comfort knowing that all this is just so much talk.

my comfort comes from knowing Christ, and knowing God is still in complete control. even though Obama bin laden might think "he" is.

Obama don't want to be a president, he wants to be a king. someone on this forum once said that a monarchy was the very best form of government. " with an occasional assassination" tended to keep the next moron in line.

i just get a lot of comfort knowing that all this is just so much talk.

Amen.

And additionally. I don't have to worry about such things. I am not relying on the government in any way. I own what I own and don't take out loans. I know money is worth less each day so I have purchased properties, and manage them as a source of income and saving for retirement (since the gov has bankrupted social security). The gov doesn't know if I do or don't have a gun and have no way of finding that out.

Lastly, we the people far out number the government, military, and homeland security combined. Whether Rep, or Dem. the number of guns out there also out numbers them. They can be certain of any law they write. It's how to enforce the law that they are uncertain about.

the govt can take anything they want to..even the county govt can take your land for something as simple as building a road...so dont think what you own is actually yours..if you do then you are in for a rude awakening one day..

Myself, my Father, nor my Grandfather have never experienced anything said in this thread. Not to mention anyone I have ever known. I can safely even go as far as saying those who even comment in this thread haven't had anything described above happen to them. History has proven itself. I still have my land, and my belongings, and as far as I can see that isn't going to change.

Jess, if you are trying to instill fear in me you have failed. I don't feed off of fear. I feed on facts.

Now I'm not blind. I do see that Obama is moving in Socialist ways. I do see that The Department Of Homeland Security has bought tanks, guns, and ammo. I however don't see the world ending before Obama's second term is up. I do see that for every gun our government buys many more are bought by its citizens. I do see that the government (however corrupt it is) still has a system of checks and balances. And lastly, We The People control the government. I am sure the US Gov doesn't want what is happening in Egypt to happen here.

I have lost land to the gov't.  Some for roads, some for pipeline.

Sure, they "paid" for it.

I settled. Accepted the payment.  I would have lost if I fought it.

So, people on this board, have lost land to the gov't.  It is your land, until they want it for something they deem better.
