New Frogg Toggs??........

"Santa" wants me to give him some ideas on presents this year......one thing I could really use is a new set of Frogg Toggs......motorcycle specific......my pants have a hole in them from touching the pipes..... .....seems like I saw a post where someone had ironed some ironing board material on the inside of the leg?.....I don't see that on this link.....makes perfect sense to me......I would have thought they'd have done this upgrade by now......

 I got a hole melted into the sleeve somehow.  It didn't take much to melt it.  I'm think that trying to iron on a patch might melt more of the material.

therfore it must be true

The trick is to stop and put them on B E F O R E the toad strangler starts

mostly when I put em on the sun comes out

putting them on BEFORE it rains guarantees that it WON'T rain...... ........I like the FT's I have now.....pumpkin orange........rode to MS with Smokin Joe and company a few years ago .....about 500 miles of mostly pouring rain......only got a little water leaking in around my neck......

I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PAIR.

I found that after a few thousand miles of wear and getting buffeted they leaked like a sieve. Now I use a Nelson Rigg 2 piece which has never let me down in the last 4 years of extensive use.

The Nelson Rigg works really well as a cold weather layer.

On my cross country ride last year I took my mesh jacket, Gerbing liner and Nelson Rigg 2 piece. Dry and toasty no matter the weather.

What about them clear patches that you put on a pool floatie that has a hole in it?

I have the inside of both legs about 6 to 8" up from the cuff duct taped on the inside.    I've hit a hot pipe with it a couple of times since and no more burn holes.     Hell of a lot easier than trying to sew a patch in there.

I had ironing board covers sewed on mine years ago.  Worked great.  FT has since come out with a much heavier duty rainsuit.  I got one and used it on my Canada trip 3 years ago.  This is actually very well made raingear.  I didn't get wet at all.  Much better than the lightweight stuff they have sold for years.  Got mine in charcoal grey - it has reflective piping on it.  And no leaks.

As for melting your raingear on your pipes.  You need my 5 inch pipes.  They don't get hot.
