Just got home and she safe and sound!  Now if I don't drop her getting her off the trailer tomorrow.  The trailer was actually 9 feet long and was made to carry a moto.  It traveled great with no problems.

Yup!  Probably no sleep tonight!  Up at the crack of dawn and waking up the neighborhood.  Ooops, just remembered I have no plate yet.  Anyone know if it can be rode with a bill of sale?  I already insured it.

Even if it has "no" plate at all?  Maybe just make a paper plate and put on it For Registration and date bought.

From what I understand, yes!
I do it all the time with the boats I purchase. Some, in fact have yet to be registered and titled after...well......too long!
Rode my Valk for almost 10 days here in Florida before I stopped and got the tag.

If you have AAA you can go to the tag office on Westshore Blvd. Tax, tag and title while you wait. Monday thru Friday; maybe Saturday.  TPD might pop ya down there in South Tampa without a tag. It's not worth a conversation with them about it.

Finally got my first ride this morning!!!  Wow, has a lot of power and a whole lot of noise even with the baffles installed!  The Valk is definitely a whole different moto than my BMW.  Cleaned her up from the trip yesterday and added a little polish.  My pipes are almost as blue as my Beemer's paint.  I'm wondering if the carbs had ever been re-jetted?  First thing I did was remove the trunk.  I just think it looks much better without it.  

My friend Jimmy came over to check out my new ride and was thoroughly impressed with it.  He has a new Yamaha "Bolt."  He likes street bikes instead of cruisers.

Got some stuff out in da shed that will take that all off yer pipes with no damage to the chrome. 

But it will only come back, as the pipes are single wall, so it's prolly,,, not worth doing???

Search the main forum for what some have done.  B'que grill paint.  Black them out from the pegs forward to the heads.  Reapply as needed.

My next little problem is storage of the moto.  About three years ago I converted my carport into a dining room.  So "now" all I have is a 4' wide front porch and two moto's to store.  My plan is to build onto the front porch, about five feet out, with a Japanese style extension that will have corrigated fiberglass to shed the water to the side.  I could at least park the two bikes stright in, side by side.

Get a shed, delivered.  

Just had a 14' by 24' set in the back corner of my property a few months back.

Helps keep the excess crap,,, outta the shop n' the garage.

Plus, it's a good place to escape to,,,,, when necessary...

I have two sheds on my lot Ron. They are from Tuff-Sheds and are wonderful. I have a 10 x 14 and a 10 x 8. I park my bike in the garage but there would be room a plenty for a Valk in either one of them. They bring them out and assemble them at your site. I bought mine through Home Depot (surprise huh?) because I wanted the 24 month-no interest financing but they are based right there in Tampa and you can buy direct from them. They build a real nice, (not cheap however) shed that you can customize any way you want to. I wired, plumbed and painted mine myself and saved hundreds! I don't know if you can put one on your property or not but that would solve your problem.

I already have two, which I built,  in my back yard already.  It would be too sandy and tires would sink creating another problem.  Think adding porch overhang is the way to go for me.

I just knew we would get around to food!  Especially "Taco's and Tamales!"  I'm from Texas and it is impossible to find a good "crispy" taco here in Tampa.  I tried soooo many places and they all taste like they came from Taco Bell.  I do make my own but it's just not the same as going into a Mexican restaurant and getting good food.  I did find a grocery store over in Plant City that sells good tamales.

In September I had to travel back to Texas for deaths in the family.  I ate at Mexican restaurants the whole time I was there.

I have the exact same setup, and it's permanent.  No garage, but a dedicated 10 X 12 bike shed in the back, paved to the street (driveway), with the sun shade right up against the double shed doors.  My cover is ripped/torn, and I have a replacement, but will wait out the Winter ice before replacing.  Not the finest looking setup, but I have huge oaks overhead that drop deadwood from time to time, and the shade is helpful in hot weather  (No pic)

Edit: I had to secure two of the four legs to the ground.... a high wind will make it fly away like a helicopter.
