Oem petcock O-ring

Would anyone know type and size of oring on Oem petcock. Also need to know size and type of hose that connects peacock fuel line to carbs. Trying to stop gas smell. All advice appreciated.

how long have you had the smell and how strong is it as if any is a good thing not

The hose is 5/16 ID fuel line. Most auto stores have it.
Sorry, I don't know about the petcock o-ring.

Most times gas is being smelled, it usually is being reported coming from the gas fill.

Some have added an extra gasket or made a gasket to stop the smell.

If you see a leak or the results of a leak under the tank, then fix it but I would think

the best money is on the gas fill from where the smell emits.

That begs the question: Why didn't you order the darn thing when you ordered the cover set? If ordered from Service Honda, the screen set is $12.74 which gives you a new filter screen and o-ring. Or, just the o-ring for $2.33. That would have jumped the total order from $28.58 for just the cover set to a huge total of $30.91 if you had added just the o-ring.  ???

I see your email is Tampa located, so if you order from Honda Direct you get charged sales tax plus shipping. For the same price and more often than not, faster shipping, ordering from Serice Honda in Indiana you don't get hit with the tax and the shipping is pretty much a wash anyway. And, if something is backordered you're notified via email immediately and it's removed from your order if so desired. I never had that courtesy from HDL.

More than a few of us Valkyrie owners have stopped the smell of gas just by checking and tightening loose clamps on the intake tubes.
It doesn't cost anything and you might be surprised to find they loosen over time.
