That wasn't just one, it was eight historic Corvettes.

Wow, I was just there last year on a trip to Nashville. I'm not a big Corvette guy but what a shame, many of those are loaned for display  :'(

The 2 loaners in the hole belong to GM. The private owner cars on exhibit are in a separate building from the dome. Scary part is as you can see in the pictures, quite a few more cars still in the building surrounding the hole.

That looks expensive  :o

To be sure, Corvettes, even used ones are expensive to own and maintain. Not because they have a lot of maintenance issues, but like bling for Valkyries, most bits and pieces command a premium, "the Corvette tax" if you will. Lots of valuable parts in that hole, but I suspect there will be an attempt to repair them if at all possible.

My Corvette has become as special to me as my Valkyrie. It shares many of the same emotions I feel when on the Valk. Plan on keeping them both for a long time.

The Valkyrie I've owned for 14 years and except for still wanting a fairing it is about the way I want it to be,

The Corvette is still a work in progress. Where the Valkyrie is a chrome hog, the Corvette will stay as it is except for wheels which will ultimately be 3 piece forged polished aluminum. Up to this point all mods have been with replacement Corvette pieces, the Z06 wheels and interior swap from all black to a 2 tone red and black.

If the weather will ever give me a break,I've got this stuff to install.

These will give me the ability to adjust the ride height, dampening, and corner weight.

These will allow me to exploit the expra grip the coil-overs give me,

I was not in favor of the government bailout of GM, but I am happy that the company has survived and is still producing a world class sports car.

F6Johh, you think valkyrie bling is pricey just take a walk down the bling isle at your local harley dealership.

How do you get Corvettes out of a hole, inside a building.

When and if you get them out. What caused the sink hole?

This is one big pickle they are in.

Maybe they can get some stimulus money to help.

Government Motors.

These are giddy times we live in. When a President can fire a CEO of a company.

But what a hole.

Yah the one the Corvettes are in as well.

when they excavated the land to build the dome it seems to me they didnt fill it back up properly,,then the underground waters must have washed it away.. there are a lot of underground caves in that area,,

Tell me about it! I was one of the first to put Harley Deuce risers on a Valkyrie, before the knock offs were available. I'm ashamed to say how much I gave but it was way more than double the knock offs. Only cost me about 5hp though, ;D

Hey guys go back in and check out the pictures and videos of the sinkhole. I don't think that white convertible is going to be salvageable. Looks like a couple of the cars are buried. Man that sucks.....

Serk

Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...
