With GOD and a good attitude, there is no circumstance that I can not overcome.

Patrick

I don't like her either, and, I don't know her. While I was cooking for some of the teams I had the opportunity to she how she acted and conducted herself. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but, she was a bitch.

Big Al of Tennessee

They call her TAB, ok, I'll help you out, Tens A Bitch.

At Bristol the last race, pit box, she dumps the clutch to go and ran straight into the car in front of her.

Now that ain't no driver of any kind. She could have killed or maimed a pit crewman That is

personal.

Leave and follow Jet Dryer man, Juan Pablo, back to Indy Cars. Nobody is watching that anyway.

Or maybe hire her to drive the Pace Car.
GOD SAVE THE UNITED STATES from the democrats is my prayer.

sandy

She use to live in Scottsdale. I knew some folks who lived in her neighborhood and knew her. She was nice in that situation. At the races, she develops an attitude. When I raced a Tiger in C production, I had a very focused mindset at the track too. It can be misinterpreted.

MP

In the heat of racing, those things get said about ALL drivers. She is not the best driver, but she is NOT the poorest driver out there either. There are a number of drivers that have about her number of races in, with a LOWER average finish than she has.

"Ridin' with Cycho"

Big Al of Tennessee

Face it, show piece and sponsor pie.

Excuses don't pay the bills. One more year and gone.

If that.
GOD SAVE THE UNITED STATES from the democrats is my prayer.

IF she was NOT a split tail AND her endings are like they are AND NOT fairly easy on the eyes and NOT look so good in tight clothes AND DID NOT bring in the sponsor $$$$$$$$$$ like she do She would have been gone year before last.  :uglystupid2: BUT she are ANYTHING BUT a stock car driver. Having said that-when I raced and the green flag dropped I ONLY worried bout numero uno-ME. Did I have my share of problems in the pits-HELL YEAH. BUT I actually learned HOW to race AND I was there on my own dime. MAYBE if the repair bills came out of her cut!!  :cooldude: RIDE SAFE.

here is what a VRCC member who is NOT a NASCAR driver really thinks about Danica.

First she is hot.  then she gets a lot of press and that is good for NASCAR.  she seems to be a mediocre NASCAR driver.

and what that means is that she could kick 99.99% of all you old fart (me included) Valkyrie rider's ass on any kind of track.

MODIFY:  99.9999%.

I could believe she could be a tough person, but remember in a very competitive sport where emotions run high and the competition is so very keen I would take all comments with a grain of salt. She bucks every stereotype that there is in a mainly man dominated sport. You would have to be different in those type of circumstances. I wonder what people would say about us if all they knew was our work demeanor.   :coolsmiley:

Totally disagree.  You take 100 average drivers (like you will find in this club since you used us a the pool) and I believe 60-75 of us could be trained to drive a stock car as good or better than Danica in a very short amount of time.  Once you get used to the machine and going that fast you have 90% of the battle won, learn a few maneuvers and some strategy BOOM after all its just plowing straight ahead most of the time, its not even turning left with those high banks its just a long drag race with traffic.  I think anyone that wanted to could learn to do it well

Jack

I think she is great PR for NASCAR.  Wives watch the races if they can identify with the drivers.  Less friction at home.

hey Chris.  I would respectfully totally disagree with that also.

you take 100 drivers from VRCC and you get 20 with knee replacements, 8 with by-pass surgery, 45 with arthritis, 10 with frozen shoulders, 60 with obesity and 20 that are so fat they would not even fit in the car, 12 hip replacements that can't lift foot from brake to gas pedal in a timely fashion, etc, etc.

so maybe VRCC is not the pool to take the sample from.  the thought that 60-75 of us out of the entire club (not just 100) could ever equal her in a race is pure fantasy.

these drivers are athletes.  they are in good shape physically, their reflexes are likely in the top 1%, and they have nerves of "steel".  to think we might just hop in go around fast a few times and "learn a few maneuvers" and then "compete" with a mid level NASCAR driver is ludicrous, IMHO.   ;)

I just do not think you are giving enough credit to how difficult a NASCAR competition is.  but,  I have never driven on a NASCAR track and have no training, so just my opinion.  I do think that none of our members would win the beauty or sponsorship contest.

Uh, Don, I don't believe there are enough Valkyrie riders to justify that percentage.  (For the mathematically challenged that would take one million subjects with one exception. )

And between you and me she's not that hot, but she does get a lot of publicity and exposure.  I'm guessing that 37.9997% of the women in this country given the publicity and support (makeup, wardrobe, photo skills, etc.) that Danica gets would be just as hot or more.

By the way, I agree she is a fairly mediocre race car driver whose presence is very good financially and otherwise for NASCAR.

Varmintmist

Not a big nascar fan, however, She is ranked 33 after 3 races and finished 21 in the third race of the season which was AHEAD of all 3 other of her male teammates.

And she is hot.

I got to see her race a few years back (It was the fast cars, not the slower shotboat Nascar ones, don't remember the names) and had the scanner to listen in.

She can give as good as she gets as far as foul language and bad talking the other drivers!

Yup... I got to do a ride along for free (Thanks to Marlboro cigarettes, oddly enough) a few years back. I gained a lotta resepect for the drivers when my vision went black in the first banked curve...

OK, good point about the physical challenges of many in our midst.  But, I still think if you took 100 average drivers that wanted to learn to drive a NASCAR and were physically up to the challenge, 60-75 could become good at it given the chance and the training.

It cannot be THAT much harder than piloting a Valkyrie though the 285 bipass in Atlanta the first time.  If youve never done that, man what a rush!  Talk about staying alert and having reflexes...........ok its only 85-90mph but speed is just something you get used to.  Remember the first time you went 70 in your fathers car....now it aint nothin............

Been on that thing several times.  Every time I've been on that road, it's 85 mph one second and then slam on the brakes to 25 mph the next.....then back to 90.....and then back to 25, then back to 90 and then back to 25 again.

Not a chance in hell. She would kick your butt 100 out of 100 times. Go to one of the tracks that you can drive at and see how fast you are. Every one of the racers is there because they are good. She may not be anywhere close to the best, but she would make ANY of us look foolish.

And to complete the utter threadjacking, I give you..... this...

Although this pic is over 5 years old, there IS a lot less of me now, but that doesn't change the fact that you do NOT wanna see me in a bikini!!! I've mentioned it before, but no matter how in shape it is, the male form is not meant to be seen. For proof I present this - Magazines for men have lots of pictures of almost naked women in them. But also, magazines for women ALSO have lots of pictures of... almost naked women in them...

Yes they are not supportive of one another competitively, but in the past they would help each other.

Still do. Still sometimes they want to kill each other.

I respectfully disagree. He didn't win a race in his last 8 yrs of racing. That's quite a dry spell. It's been 23 yrs since his last race.
He's never raced in the "Car of Tomorrow" which is what Nascar currently uses. That configuration is a LOT different than anything Richard was used to driving in his day.

I think Danica would win a grudge race with him....noooo problem.

Oh contrar , Old Age and Treachery, will win out over youth and exuberance every time.

Remember Danica can't drive for squat and when Richard wanted to he could put it out front.

Like when Reagan was at Daytona, he ran it to Victory Lane. Met the Prez. Making a good living just

showing

up as he did. What's the hurry, it was a business for Richard, not a must win.

Kinda like Mark Martin who never won a championship, but is a Multi-Millionaire, Danica is raking

in the bucks just circling, sponsorships, endorsements, they make a fortune.

Danica and her usual problem.

Retaliation attempt goes wrong for Patrick
