Time for a new darkside tire

I'm wanting to replace my tire and
I worked my way down to four tires to consider, I would Like your thoughts and advice on these tires
also which is prefered ,60 or 65. Any and all advice will be apreciated.
Yokohama Avid Envigor
General Altimax HP
Nexen N 5000
Kumho Solus KH17
I'm asking your advice on these tires, which would you use.
Have any of you used the Nexen or Kumho Solus?

Just put the yolohama on mine about 1000 miles ago and so far I really like it.Haven't ran any of the rest but the nexen was on my list to try. I try and stay with V rated tires in the middle of wear compound 300-450 rating.

While it isn't on your list of candidates, I'm loving my new Austone Taxi tire, just saying........

Closest thing to a MC tire so far, sits up like a 65, corners without the counter-steer of a CT.

Had an Altimax. Liked it. On the Nexen 5000 now and like it better thsn the General somewhat. Been caught in the rain with both and neither one scared me in the rain. Dunflop E-3s on the other hand were lotsa white knuckle pucker factor.  At this point in time I would replace the Nexen with another Nexen. RIDE SAFE.

Just pulled the trigger on a Vredestein Sportrac3 205/60R16.

I have about 1000 miles on a Kumho Solus HK16, replace a HydroEdge.  I like the tire so far.  Easier to roll thru the curves.   I got the 65 series as I like the reduced RPM's.

 JC I did think about the Austone taxi tire but I can't find a place that has it, also not sure if i like the extra elavation and the speed rating. How much did the extra height effect your bike on the kick stand.

I'm running the Yokohama and like it so far but have just over 3000 on it. It still looks like new.

Being it's my first Darkside tire, I have no opinion on the others.

Nexen 5000     Had the Falken 512 but this is much better. Round profile and softer
side walls. Run 40-42 lbs and no prob on the counter steering. Will do it again.

over 18,000 on the General and still looks new. handles dry and wet.

Also have the Nexen 205-60-16 About 2k only but like it so far. Got it at Wally World. good price

Yep, just what Punisher says. Was on my doorstep three days after ordering from Universal. I don't normally go so fast as to have worry about the speed rating, because I keep getting thumps on my helmet from the seat behind me when I do, but at 90MPH it is a smooth tire and handles well. Scraping pegs is no problem, and the extra height is not a problem on the stand. The RPM drop is nice, but I don't know that I'm gaining much from it.

Can't reply as per the types, but the size, you need to decide on.

The 205x60 would be close to stock size MC tire.

The 205x65 would make it larger diameter, and therefore lower your RPM.

Also switched over to the Vredestrien 205/60. It has the roundest profile I could find and it shows it in cornering performance. They even advertise the new rounded profile in their advertising. Darn good looking tire as well and should be absolutely stellar in the rain with those deep center treads.

What is the DOT date on your tire?

I've had the Yokohama Envigor for 24K miles, I've been happy with the performance. The wear bars in the center are getting close, so it will probably need replaced this season. The previous tires were the Goodyear TT and a Falken ZE-912. The TT got the best wear, but compared to the others, the handling seemed a little clunky. The Falken handled well, but only lasted about 15K miles. 

I'll probably go with another Envigor unless something on TireRack catches my eye.

I checked out all the traditional dark side tires then I went and looked for other options.  After comparing the tread design and sidewall flexibility, I found that the Bridgestone Ecopia (205/60) was the best tire for the bike.  It has an excellent contact patch and it flexes enough to drag the foot pegs.
