Benghazi is now out in the open. The administration lied, plain and simple! This had nothing to do with some anti Muslim video. Look forward to more questions, investigations, and talk about Benghazi. It seems the current administration fails at everything it touches. Benghazi, healthcare, the NSA, the economy, foreign policy, etc. even the liberal media is turning on the current administration. There is no doubt that the tide is finally turning! I know the president assured me and the rest of the country that if I wanted to keep my current healthcare plan, and my doctors, that I could. He also said that my current policy would eventually go down about $2500 dollars a year. Over 30 different youtubes of him saying this are available. He's a liar! And Benghazi is a lie. So now the truth will start to finally see some light. Look forward to an interesting Summer, people!

I think the IRS fiasco is the one that will leave a more lasting impression since all taxpayers just love dealing with that agency. I know I sure look forward to writing checks to them every quarter.

But, IMO, the real question for this administration will be: How can we delay this until after the Midterm elections?

Do we just give away more free phones? or gas?

Do we blame Fox news?  Koch brothers?

Do we get involved in "state related" issues to get the attention of the low-information voters off this issue? (Zimmerman/ Martin, Nevada/Texas land grabbing, etc ...)

Or let's wait and make a statement late Friday so these people will have forgotten all about it by Monday.

They are going to have to lean on that woman pleading the 5th.  They're gonna have to yank the 5th from her because of her diatribe prior to pleading, which negates the plead as I understand.  Or, they will offer her immunity for her testamony.  And since the attorney general has no desire to get answers on this issue, and it seems congress is a joke, it just may go on well past Nov.'s election or the next presidential election as well.

My NYC liberal friends were all over FB looking for this guy to get the death penalty for spouting racists feelings in his own livingroom.  They've never even heard of this guy before, but they've been told what a terrible person he is, and that's good enough to wish him dead.      But not one peep from them about Benghazi and their hero's lies.

Its been 30+ yrs since Constitutional Law and even tho a copy of the constitution always is an arms length away from where I sit I seem to recall that Congress's powers include being able  hold ant Attorney General (the name Mitchell comes to mind) in contempt and jail him for the duration of  the hearings which is what I would force through if I were Speaker

Why an independent commission does not Sieze all records from State Dept and hold that woman in contempt in jail also until she caves as well as the heads of the IRS is beyond me.  

Immunity is no real risk for the lawmakers as if the subject says anything later proved untrue they can yank it away and back to jail goes the person who took the 5th

I don't know Evan.  What you are talking about goes (well) beyond the constitution into congressional practice and procedure (with nothing but expected opposition/obstruction of the Attorney Generaljackoff and DOJ).  I will not waste my time searching since the full fumblerooski is underway up there anyway.  

Since no actual governing seems to be going on anyway, I believe the House should take the bull by the horns and launch real hardcore investigations into Bengazi, IRS and Fast and Furious (at a minimum), but that does not seem to be happening.  It is imperative we keep the House and retake the Senate in the coming elections, and if that means a slow roll on these issues is necessary to do so (in the short run), I guess I understand it.

Nothing would make me happier than Learner and Hillary and Holder (AND OTHERS) being water boarded for the facts, but that seems unlikely too.

It doesn't appear as though our congress has any real power. They can just puff up and pound their chests, but, that appears to be all they can do.

It took a private entity to get the recent Benghazi e-mails.

carney and the admin will continue to lie and stonewall. And yet some of the American public will still believe this [and others] to be a phony scandal.

I can not believe how incompetent and crooked this administration and congress is and we go along with the way things are.
