The world would not be better, if we were all Christian.

The world would be better if a person was free to express their religion or even lack of.

The problem is when states are sponsoring a religion.

State should stay out of my, their, your, business.

Only when it harms another, like any act, should the state or feds step in.

Islam is practiced in a lot of countries that support Islam to further Islamic Belief.

The problem with this is obvious. The more people you kill who are non-believers, the better

Muslim you are thought to be. If your a peaceful Muslim, they may just kill you for not

being a good enough Muslim.

Truth is, if you want the truth, just watch the 6 oclock news. Another bombing has already

happened in the name of Islam as I typed this. Proof enough for me that it is not peaceful at all.

300 Nigerian girls going to school was their crime are out in the jungle waiting their turn to become

slaves as I type. SO Obama is sending our people to find them. LOL, Why not find the fellows that

killed our guys in Libya, one an American Ambassador. There was a time that meant War.

There is a disassociation with the world when you withdraw into the personal world of drugs. Just as anything that takes over your mental process it doesn't allow true unbiased views or opinions because of the bondage that a person is in. You dont help or understand the world you just blunt the understanding of it.
 When you talk about Jesus, He's about personal choice, where religion is there no choice. The same goes for Muslims or drugs they both limit choices. Those who hate Jesus love death, in all its many forms.

Where did these "translations" come from???  That's pretty damn hokey compared to the various translations I've seen.  Of course I do not understand Arabic, so I have not read anything other than translations.

Substituting drugs for the truth, once you do its much harder to know the real truth. The teachings of Marley are in direct opposition to Jesus teachings. I agree with you Patrick.  However, one interesting thing about Islam is that their Quran hasn't changed.  All translations into other languages are simply just that: translations.  Islam was made for Arabs... it's original intent was to bring Arabs to God.

It is interesting to me because their language has been somewhat regulated by the Quran over the centuries.  Imagine if the original Biblical texts were the King James version (or whichever you prefer) and through the centuries our language mirrored that of the original work thus not changing.

Sadly, even with that, people usually choose to hear or see what they want and discard the rest therefore obscuring or destroying the author's intent.

Outside religion... might as well add politics...      Has the original intent of our Constitution and Bill of Rights been misinterpreted and distorted by the agendas of modern politicians?
