So, word is....... all the murder and mayhem in Myrtle Beach this weekend had nothing to do with the Atlantic Beach Bikefest.

Sometimes it gets me so mad I could spit.  Can't wait to retire and GTFO... >:( :tickedoff:

I feel for you having to live there man... it is hard to find a nice place on the beach anymore...
Me and Carolyn stayed at Folly Beach overnight a couple of months ago... blegh... I lived
there for a few months before Hugo... it was awesome...

We are going to stay a couple of nights at The Sea View Inn in July... that is supposed to
be like going back to the 60s... its that place right in the middle... they feed you three meals
a day... all you have to do is get sun burned in the waves and sit on the porch...

Have a good time Hubcap.  The idiots are gone for now. The Sea View is in Pawley's Island which is a beautiful place. The savages usually don't go down that far.
Try to eat at least once at The PIT (Pawley's Island Tavern).  Good eats and a true "Low Country" atmosphere.  I was just there last night

we have been going to bike week (the first week that is) for the last 15 years or so. not every year mind you but every other or so. im not sure if it should be called bike week or not. in the old days there were 300,000 bikers there, this year I saw maybe 10-15,000 bikes and they were all bunched up at murrells inlet. don't get me wrong, I had fun but nothing like the good ole days. what I didn't see was young bikers there to pass the torch to. I could be wrong but I think it is a dying trend.

My club went down from 17th to 24th. We stayed in the North Myrtle/Cherry Grove area. It was a good thing, nothing but clubs in beach houses/condo's and an older crowd. No drama, issues etc. Only saw one other Valk though.

My prez parked his 109 and rode my Valk(IS) to the grocery store. He came back with feet on the highway pegs and music thumping. I think we may have a convert!

I guess I should have used the subject title "Atlantic Beach Bikefest"....but it certainly spilled over to Myrtle in a big way.  4 shot to death!

Totally different crowd!!!!  Sickening.
