F6 or Valkyrie

I stopped at the big Honda store in Springfield Mo  on the way back from a week riding in the Ozarks of Arkansas yesterday to check out the new Valkyrie with accessories. After getting close up looks and mounting it and the F6 next to it,  I think I would rather have the F6.  It just fit better.  It also has a more attractive fairing in my opinion.  With the sound system and other standard equipment the F6 has with no additional cost, they are about the same price.  Not than I could afford it, or want to put my tourer out to pasture. JMHO.

That new Valk though looks odd yet fast and am sure it is. 

Also think for what you get, best bang for your buck is f6b over the Valk since both are priced pretty close.  Still can't believe Honda didn't have at least as an option a reverse gear for the f6b, very dumb move.

For me the lack of reverse was not even an issue. This bike backs easier than my Interstate and I never had a use of that in 13 years of ownership. For me anyway, its all about planning where you park and depending on the slope of the parking space adjust accordingly.

Never had a reverse or never needed one. I do however get a chuckle out of guys that have their wives or girlfriends get off and help push them backwards to park.  :2funny:My wife doesn't dismount until I am in the spot and kickstand deployed I. Any situation

For me it's the Valkyrie that fits better, and for my taste as well.

There's about a million stick-on weights on my front wheel...

It is easy to get stick-on weights off normal wheels... do I have to
worry about scratching these black wheels?

I thought Honda might be using beads now  

I think they'll come off OK,use WD40 to clean up the gue.

Just clean your wheels with S100...... makes your (tape) weights fall right off.

Yeah, there are weights on my front wheel, I don't see any on the back. I added Ride-On so the weights don't really matter. I should take them off.

I've ridden both and they ride very different in my opinion.  F6B was what I expected. Valkyrie really surprised me. Handled great. I'm still trying to get use to the new Valkyrie's looks. If I would buy a new bike it would a Valkyrie.
