  Anyone out there think that this stuff isn't happening today in the U.S. ? All eight rules are currently in play
  How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky:
  There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state. The first is the most important.
  1) Healthcare = Control healthcare and you control the people
  2) Poverty = Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are
providing everything for them to live.
  3) Debt = Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
  4) Gun Control = Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.
  5) Welfare = Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income)
  6) Education = Take control of what people read and listen to take control of what children learn in school.
  7) Religion = Remove the belief in the God from the Government  and schools
  Class Warfare = Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax)
the wealthy with the support of the poor.
  Does any of this sound like what is happening to the United States ?
  Alinsky merely simplified Vladimir Lenin's original scheme for world conquest by communism, under Russian rule. Stalin described
his converts as "Useful Idiots."  The Useful Idiots have destroyed every nation in which they have seized power and control. It is presently happening at an alarming rate in the U.S.

As long as the government, is commensurate to provide services, that are equitable to that rate.

Alinsky might have said it as well, but Barack Hussein Obama Senior said this:

"Theoretically," he wrote, "there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed."

Therefore, he added, "I do not see why the government cannot tax those who have more and syphon some of these revenues into savings which can be utilized in investment for future development."

Slow down there, Turbo.  The Congress passed the Revenue Act of 1861 in... 1861.  The following year, the Tax Act of 1862 was passed that further clarified the details of the income tax.  It was repealed in 1872.  In 1894, Congress attempted to enact a permanent income tax, but that was found to be unconstitutional in 1895.  In 1913, the 16th Amendment passed, establishing a permanent income tax.

Truth is, almost as soon as the US became independent, the government has been trying to find new ways to get our money from some sort of tax or another... see Hamilton and the Whiskey Rebellion of 1791.

Some food stamp recipients might be white and poor. Who knows. However they're all lookin' forward to post here
and lay out their laundry for all to see.

Al very good    Its pretty amazing when you think about it.

  The government today could finance the whole operation of the government by taking back the Federal Reserve. There would be a abundance for all, the decisions would be based on surplus rather than adding to or spending debt money and who to help would be much less of a issue. The fact that a well run government may not even have to help its citizens because most will do well also is another perk of anything well run. We argue amongst ourselves like wolves left to pick up the scraps because of a poorly run government. Sad really, we all want good but trying to fit good into existing supplies only rapes those who actually work. It also rapes those who are scraping by because of inflation and other factors that make what you have worth less. Essentially putting us into indentured servant mode. Someone said we are free in the US its not really true. We are free to make decisions inside a box with preset rules and that box has certain limitations on how we can make a living how much we have to pay out for essentials and has limited free market ability. Wake up!

  You should go further and explain the turmoil and conditions on how not only the Federal Reserve act was passed but also this act. Also who and how much was originally taxed it was not everyone.   You should go further and explain the turmoil and conditions on how not only the Federal Reserve act was passed but also this act.

As you said, "it's pretty amazing when you think about it."  That's the key here, isn't it?  Why should I go further and explain anything?  Why didn't the original post do that?  Why were key events leading up to the permanent tax completely ignored?  That was simply my point.

We all have opinions and that is great.  If you want someone to share your opinion, do your best to present the facts, all the facts.  That way your opinion truly becomes their opinion, if it is credible. 

That brings up another issue: credibility.  Although I personally agree with most of what is said in the original post and most of the others about worthless people leaching away our nation's greatness, when you cherry-pick some facts and omit others to reinforce your opinion, you reduce your credibility... and that, is worthy of politics... just my opinion.
