A big part of my job is helping management pull their head out.   I grow weary of the rampant stupidity while they seem to revel in it.

Seems to me that for some people to learn not to repeat something they have to suffer for it, sometimes more than once.

atv probably doesn't fit with the tailgate up.  AS long as strapped down properly on all 4 corners then tailgate down is no big deal to me plus with a piece of wood behind front tires as a quick backup. 

Even though those straps look pretty heavy duty,  I bet the straps break first or he would notice something is wrong after the first 1-2 feet not being able to move easily enough and then stop. 

I've seen some real idiots on the ATV trails the past 8 years of riding ATV's, one that should be locked up in jail for taking his 2 under age 4 kids (one an infant no less) with no helmet, etc. in a pull along P.O.S. junk small pull behind trailer (very small made of plastic like a kid would use) with just a hitch pin bouncing all over the trails with 2 kids in tow. 

That being said,  looks like a 2002/2003 honda foreman ATV so those older honda's take a licking and keep on ticking the truck might break before the ATV will?

Well, for me it depends. If it was some know-it-all jerk that has ignored good advice in the past (or worse yet given bad advice as though he knew what he was talking about) I'd just sit back and watch. But if it was somebody who doesn't have a bad attitude, I'd try to help. Even smart people can do some pretty stupid things in areas where they have no experience.

Actually, I would have to mention that and see how they reacted. If they were rude/disrespectful then I'd just say I'm sorry to take up your time and stand back and watch.
I've seen similar things happen and mentioned or offered to help, and, have had both good and bad responses. The last was a couple of clowns trying to load a bike on a trailer, I offered assistance, another set of hands and legs would have helped. These guys actually went out of their way to give me a bunch of crap for offering the help. I just said sorry and stood back and watched them drop the bike off the ramp. I just smiled and said goodbye and walked away.
