NO way this could be legit, although I have taken things like a pair of boat paddles on my scooter about 15 miles to my brother who needed resting on the flat foor and hold them with my left hand while driving 50 mph on the rural hwy.  Hint: wind currents get much worse OVER 50 mph. 

Kids:  don't try this at home.   

I've even bungee strapped a 24 pack of water bottles or a 24 pack of diet coke to the rear seat of my I/S Valkyrie even a 2 gallon gas can between my legs on the flat floor of my scooter 1 mile to the gas station to get gas.
