Because the new 2015 SMOKING HD 500 has arrived (sarcasm font on?).
Wonder if it comes in a SOA edition?

O.M.G.!!!!  The dude filming this has been drinking WAY too much of that HD Kool-aide.  He was WAY too excited about that bike.

As for the bike...looks like a great entry level female's bike.  :D

Seat for  "comfortable" 2 up riding.  :2funny:   Wind screen???  :2funny:  About as functional as pockets on underware. Bike is a crotch rocket.

Sounds like the valves are about to part company with the engine.

Good grief that engine is noisy, sounds like a lot of valve rattle or something. My old bicycle with a card in the spokes made better sound than that thing. And it does sound like a sewing machine....a really old one.

I have a pouch in the front of mine.  Does that count?   :)

..

That sounds like a crappy old tractor .

Jeez, my bike sounds like a sewing machine. A finely tuned sporty sewing machine.

This HD sounds like it's about to throw a fit.

That may be the absolute worst sounding motorcycle I have ever heard. Um, no thanks.

The Briggs and Stratton on my lawnmower that is 5 years old and has a fixed throttle position sounds way better.  :2funny: AND my lawnmower was designed to do a job-I have NO idea what this was designed for!!   :-X UH-NO!  ;D RIDE SAFE.

Often said about the Suzuki Volusia \ C50 which I had before the Valk so I got a chuckle from your comment ............ and by the way your right.

I will bet these 500's will sell like hot cakes though...........

Honestly, it's an interesting looking bike, not bad at all but, I'm pretty sure my Valkyrie won't be leaving for one or even two of them.

Those damn Japs don't have an original idea in their "collective" heads.
They have to copy HD designs just to sell a few cheap motorcycles.

Here is the Honda that copied the HD Street 500. But Honda did go "back to the future" to create a copy.

I'll only get one if they make 121st Anniversary Screaming Eagle Ultra Dyna Fat Bob American Heritage model.  Anything less would be uncivilized.

Besides the knocking noise at idle,  if revved without baffles in it, then it doesn't sound too bad.

Big question is why HD didn't black out the rear shocks vs. chrome to make everything all blacked out to match?  VERY dumb indeed to NOT do that if you ask me.

LOL, Hooter.  Everyone who wears briefs does.   ;)

BTW, you used a question mark where a period belongs. I often make the opposing mistake.   :)

cookiedough

If truly made overseas which I am pretty sure it is,  HD better NOT make the mistake of putting on the engine or frame 'Made in India'  for they won't sell a single one.  Everyone knows all HD's are assembled in America?????

Yup, me too!

Exactly why I think this 500 will sell. No, it's not for everybody but for downtown commuters and those that live in satellite communities and work in the city, a bike this size is great.
