Dam Ride .... It's a " GO " for last weekend in March

 Round 2 for " The Dam Ride "  This ride was going to happen back in mid-Feb however it was postponed when bitter cold weather moved into The Great State Of Tennessee. Information is below for new dates ( Should be much warmer at the end of March ).


We will ride in on Friday evening March 27.... Group ride Saturday March 28 .... Head home Sunday March 29.


We plan to ride to as many Dam's as possible on Saturday. The Beech River has ( 8 ) small dam's on it and the roads to and from look pretty good.

Red Bud Dam
Pin Oak Dam
Beech Dam
Pine Dam
Sycamore Dam
Lost Creek Dam


We will be staying in Fairview , Tennessee at the same motel Mac ( Crazyhorse ) used on one of his Veteran Ride's. Motel information is below you will need a room for Friday 3-27 and Saturday 3-28.... Room rate is $57.82 tax included for a double room tell them you are with " The Smokinjoe Ride " so we can be grouped together.. The bags came today. Boy they spared no expense with packing. They are real high quality. Not
as big as Valkyrie bags, I guess kind of like beetle bags. I'm off to Boston in the morning, so I
hope to install them on Saturday.

Terry and I have hatched up a plan to meet at Ducktown at 10am, so we should still get
to Sweetwater pretty  much on time...

  I've been monitoring the end of March weather forecast in Fairview, TN for a while and it seems to get better each day.  Trish and I would love to get a nice long ride in this early in the year, but needs to be dry for us to ride the 730 miles each way from Suffolk, VA over the 3 day weekend. Sounds like it will be a great ride.  I'll let you know if we can make it.

you guys keep your eyes open for pot holes at all times,, they are all over the place down here and we lost a biker just the other day due to them things, he hit the pot hole and it caused the bike to veer to the right and hit the car next to him and it threw him into the guard rail,,,so please please watch for the pot holes...
