Knee's scratching tank

  Has anyone added a clear bra or figured out how to protect the side tank paint where your knee's rest. At 300 miles, mine is starting to show damage. I'm an ex dirt biker and must squeeze more than I am aware. Can you buy the material and make your own???

I cut up  some carbon fiber and put it on,don't have a picture of the Valk with it on the tank.

Here is a pic of my F6B with it on it.

I used some gold wing carbon fiber saddlebag scuff plates. At least that's what the Honda dealer told me they were.

After a 1000 mile ride in rain the tank did not fair well.  I was able to use a Cleaner polisher and buff out almost all the damage, but it needs protection of some kind.

Wow, that's hanging on tight!    My old Valkyrie has had wrinkles in the seat from my ass cheeks holding on before but, never on my tank.

Easy and cool. I will change the 3M tape soon and get a new color, for less than 10 €

I went to the auto paint store and bought a couple of sheets of stick on clear plastic.

You have to be very careful putting it on or you will get a bunch of wrinkles.

It keeps the dirt. rocks and road debri from marking the front of the fender up.

Unless you look real close, you won't even know it is on there.

                                             WOW you are not riding a horse or your dirt bike stop squeezing your knees........... Im sure you can put some kind of cover on the sides of the tank, like others have said, or just wait till it get down to bear metal, and its winter, and get it powder coated.
Get some hwy pegs and spread your legs out, the change in riding position makes up alittle for the stock seat..................................
