I purchased the rear exhaust pipe extensions because my pipes were too short so they were burning my hard bags. I need to drill the 3 holes that attach the pipes to the front existing pipe.

Can someone till me the best way to drill the 3 holes in the right place so the screws will align with the existing holes?

Wrap a piece of paper around your short pipe extensions and use a pencil to punch through the existing holes. Transfer that paper to your new extensions and mark the holes with a marker. Careful punching and marking as close as you can. Drill and debar holes.

Paper template? I'd say CAREFUL measurements but I KNOW how that would work fer me. Good luck with your project. RIDE SAFE.

I used the exact same method, but instead of paper, I used blue painters tape to transfer the marks/holes.

Measure twice, drill once.   ;)

Remember that there is both a right hand and a left hand configuration.

Don't ask how I learned this.

Once marked, use a punch to slightly dimple the marks, otherwise your drill bit will walk and mar the chrome.  Then first drill with a sharp 1/8 inch bit before the larger bit.  Also, assuming this is just tips, you probably only need one hole/screw.  They are a tight slip fit, and I covered the ends with soft pine and rapped them on with a rubber mallet, one screw will hold them, and make that one on the inside.
