Never made it over to MV as the weather did not cooperate.  >:(  No problem as there was plenty to see & do over in the high mountain area that we were staying!  :cooldude:

Our home for the week.

Arriving Friday 5/29.

Beans Creek. Constantly flowing, heavier & muddy after a rain of which there was quite a bit of!

Found a great place to eat in Spruce Pine, the Tropical Grill of all things in NC!

Fish Fry at the cabin on Tuesday.

Of course, someone had to fall in the creek. My money was on Kim but it turned out to be Lesa.  ;D

Elk River Falls

Mt. Mitchell. Foggy, rainy, & COLD!!!

Great lunch while waiting out the mountain weather.

The Country Store at "The Snake".  Nice ride!

The BRP.

Blowing Rock, NC

Cannot express enough our gratitude to Rick & Christy {Flask} for inviting us to share their vacation & family cabin. We rode 700+ miles all over western NC & eastern TN all told. Other than a trailer flat on I95 during the trip up it was pretty trouble free. We did have to do a starter button maintenance on Rick's Interstate but that only kept us busy for an hour or so! It was our first experience riding in the mountains & it couldn't have been any better. Great to see Bruce {DDT} & the Wild Bunch again along with the Florida folks that braved the rain to come to the fish fry.
One of our best vacations ever!  :cooldude: :cooldude:

Great pictures Eddie, you must have been freezing to death up there.  ;D We sure enjoyed seeing y'all when we came over to the fish fry. Thanks for the hospitality!
I still miss her.

Rick that place was beautiful.
Thanks again for your gracious hospitality.

Good pics Eddie.  Are you sure Kim didn't push Lesa in?  She has that mischievous streak you know.

Geez Lesa, can't leave you unsupervised for one minute.  ;D

Great pics Eddie, so....how many layers did you wear up there?  ;)  Just realized my old friend DDT was on the scene, sorry I missed out Bruce. Another day, another time.

Hey Ronnie and Carolyn Norman live near Spruce Pine.  He goes by Normandog on the board.  I bet he could show you some roads next time you're up there.  And if that was your first trip I know there will be more of them.  :cooldude:  Maybe about August when it warms up some.

Terry, we had a top notch guide around the NC/TN back roads in Kristie. That girl knows every road & every destination in the area, she spent a lot of time there growing up.  :cooldude:
John I had my long johns on every day along with multiple shirts & jackets. One of the pluses of the F6B over the Valkyrie is better wind protection for cold weather riding!
We will be back I can assure you!  :cooldude:
Once again..... total thanks to Rick & Kristie for having us!  8) :cooldude: ;) :)

I checked, you are correct in the spelling.  :cooldude:

wuss (wo͝os) n. Slang. A person regarded as weak, ineffectual, or overly fearful. [Perhaps blend of wimp and *ussy, or short for *ussy-wussy, reduplication of *ussy.]

OK then, wrong spelling!   ;D  Who would I pick on if it weren't for Eddie?  And Lesa isn't too far behind, speaking of behind....it must have really been hot to have to dunk your butt in a mountain stream to cool off.   ;)

FloridaValkRyder

We were all sitting on the picnic table watching Lesa and Kim. We were taking bets on who would fall in first....Lesa won! That water was cold too.  ;)
I still miss her.

Long johns, multiple shirts, 2 jackets & I was still a bit cold on some of the rides!
