Suggestion.  Southen route to Paul's Kitchen in Wauchala   Great reviews and used to be a place we went to a lot.   St Pete peeps we can hook up south of that bridge.

Hint. We will be on a 1500 that day.     Need to take Mikes bike out.

I'm not sure there is one this time because of the destination location and where everyone is coming from.  I am willing to meet up with anyone that will be going south over the St. Pete Bridge as long as you let me know.

Meet at Paul's at 10 - 10:30ish
At that time a bunch of us will be late, not leaving the house until 9:30, so 11 to 11:30 is when we will most likely get there.

So is this a lunch ride, or brunch?  :-\

I will call over to Paul's and make sure b-fast is served as well at that time.  10 - 10:30 has been the destination meet time norm lately.

_Sheffjs_

I called Paul's and they are reserving a spot for us and it will be ready at 10:15 however it is ok if we take the spot at 10:30 and they serve B-Fast until 11am I gave them a guess of 10-12 bodies

TJ

Am I reading this right or am I missing something...  It's set up for 10-10:30 but people are coming at 11:30.... What am I not getting???

Grumpy

In my case, original message mentioned nothing about breakfast. So set up with other riders to go at a certain time, then all the sudden it is for breakfast. Sorry but too late for me and the other 5 to change, so I guess we are doing lunch or brunch. If that is a problem, I will just stay home.

Ok so I guess it is me that gets whipped.  I should have mentioned a time here. For the most part we have been meeting at the park at 9 getting us to b-ville at 10-10:30 and if we did the lake Harris area we arrived at 10:30 to 11 so that is why I assumed the time frame.  Can everyone do Lunch?  Or do we do two groups and kick tires in between?   If we can all do lunch then we can move it back to 11:30?

While I realize that I have not been a part of the mix, I am not the only person on the eastern side. From Deland, taking all super slab is 2 hrs 20 min. The back road route is just over three hours. So... Most places you guys go is an early get up and get out of the house.  :-[

Besides, while I love breakfast, any whole in the wall joint can fry eggs and bacon and not screw them up. No need to travel 3 hours one way for that. I have a life other than MCycles.

There are so many neat and unique restaurants in FL that really don't stand out until lunch or dinner. Many involve seafood. Now, those are what makes RTE worthwhile. These started as Q rides, and not too many do Q for breakfast. Hey, just my opinion, and yours may vary.

I'm glad you mentioned this. For the most part I feel this group is earlier when out in the hot heat and beat home the usual summer weather in the afternoon. And as the cooler months come, typically the meet times were later. So for John, Pete, Jack, Papster, Larue, TT and co. and Bert and more in the farrrr east. You know that guy that has a brood of Dragons! Let's discover these gems. Or re-discover these gems in that area.  I know that I have asked Burt in the past about things near him and with his response it sounds like there are some good options I've never been to. And these would be good Lunch rides.  I realize that I initiate a good amount of rides and I do not want to come across as it is my way or else. I surely hope no one is irritated with me and I do only offer suggestions. Please understand I am more than totally open and Sherry always likes a new restaurant.     :cooldude:

we love you Jerry and I am personally not irritated by your suggestions at all, I used to have Saturdays off for the longest time but not anymore, since the gatherings mostly on  Saturdays, I now I just mark the ones I can see most of you at ahead of time and  request that time off. while to pete's point,  we would love to see you guys somewhere where the rest of us east of might make it, however some of us don't like the heat, some don't like to get up early, some have toddlers, some go boating and some need lots of planning, you guys on the west WIN..lol

Unfortunately I cannot make it this Saturday.

I for one like the breakfast rides, specially in the summer, because I can get back home before the day gets crazy hot and bkfst is my favorite meal  ;D

I don't mind having to leave home 2 hours to make it to The Park meeting place because I like hanging with this group, I like the Brooksville back roads and did I say I like bkfst  ;D

Sometimes I cannot make the ride for different reasons, too far, too late (if I have to work that day), rain, etc, so I just pass that day and catch up another time.

Last few rides we had done the bkfst thing and I appreciate Jerry's taking the time post the invites and leading us on some awesome roads  :cooldude:

There has been times when John posts a ride to the boondocks or the bakery and we take him up on it and meet him there.
I am guessing that if anyone post a ride suggestion, in a more central location, that there we would be a good turn out but we would also miss some of our friends from the west coast.

Wouldn't it be something if we got to the point when we had rides for West, Central and East coast on any given day.

Pete, I did not know you came from Deland, that is quite a ride my friend, maybe we can set up a ride on your neck of the woods one of this days, do you know of a good place near you?

Catch you all later  :cooldude:

Hey Jerry,

Don't misunderstand, I'm not irritated. Just trying to explain why it's tough for some of us to make it.  :-[.    It's not that I mind a long ride. If it were up to me, every other weekend would be 3 days and 1500-1700 miles. But there are time constraints, and my bride has a bad knee that's excruciating if she goes for an hour without a stop, and each segment gets shorter. So, my choice is to leave her and go by myself, and if I wanted to be away that often, we would not have celebrated our 45th in December.  :cooldude:

So, just to tell you again, keep planning those rides, and I'll make those that make sense. We hope to both be at your next pizza shindig.  :)

Too dang cold this morning to get out.  45 degrees and 2 space heaters on in the RV.  Still here in Pineola.  I rode around 150 miles over to North Wilkesboro to see an uncle yesterday.  It was hot down in the valley I almost sweated. :)

Pete, along with your post I made a Bo Bo here on this ride using the jerry assumption method. So it is a blanket broadcast saying that I went with the norm, where we are earlier in the summer. I also missed a couple of posts about time frame because I skip to the back of the thread. Maybe some do not like a steady diet of it and I want to make it clear I am open to tweeks after I make a suggestion or that more should jump in the suggestion mix. The best part is the cooler months are soon here and longer later rides that do exactly what you mentioned are a must.  :cooldude: On one of the rides about 6 weeks ago where we got back at 2p was too late for my Bride. It was so hot that Sherry was literally woozy and not feeling well. I am concerned because I suggest, organize and lead on a lot of rides. The catalyst for my reply was your post.

I had a series of events on my ride home (4) and didn't get in till 5:00pm. Embarrassing rookie mistakes. I'm not ready to post them here but remind me on the next gathering and you'll all have something (someone) to laugh at. :-[
The first half of the ride was perfect. The restaurant was better than I expected, mine was delicious and I didn't here any complaints from anyone else. The waitress was a cute girl and took good care of us. We got to meet a nice couple from Miami who drove all the way to meet this group. I don't know if we are worth it but I hope they enjoyed their day. Post up and say hello :)

I did a large loop, this was from the rest stop south of the Skyway bridge heading home.
