Trike kits available?

Anyone look into triking a new 1800 Valkyrie?  I think it would be awesome.

Nope, not seeing the point. Trikes are fine for those looking for the comfort, storage space, ease of riding, etc, but at the risk of ticking someone off (see the recent trailer hitch post) just go get a full dress wing trike. The bike was designed to be lighter, faster and more agile then the wings, triking it takes all that away. Might as well get all the creature comforts if you want a trike.

The (french) revolution is marching on (again) : the bike is crazy (but soooooo interesting), the price should be absurd (a prototype already sold to a guy in Paris). According to the french legislation, this is not a motorbike but a three-wheel vehicle ( = for kids), so you don't need a motorcycle driving licence to ride it, an ordinary driving licence is good enough

In Utah (and i think the rest of the US) a 3 wheeled vehicle is considered a bike, other wise it would have to meet all the currant safety standards of a car (seatbelts, airbags, etc). I actually found this out when I got my '14 Valkyrie, the dealer had a Slingshot on the floor and i asked about licencing requirements for it and the Canam Spyder. Apparently the laws were decided to go that way due to trikes and sidecars on bikes.

There are a lot of 1500 Valkyrie trikes out there, some the interstate, many are the standard/tourer with just the windshield.  As for reverse, just like a bike, be aware on how to park, plus, you can get off a trike and push it, unlike a bike.

I love the looks of the 1800 Valkyries, plus I already own one.  It is a Goldwing frame, so it should just built on the same, the issue would be the body matching the existing lines, but a good body shop should be able to add fiberglass where needed.

Why do people keep saying it's the same frame? They are diffrent! Yes the goldwing and f6b are the same as shown in the first 2 links, they even have the same part number minus the color code for a couple of newer modal (the a/b at the end) The Valkyrie on the other hand has a wildly different backend of the frame (its a seperate piece) and some mods to the front (rake angle at a minimum ). There is a reason most aftermarket parts don't fit our Valkyrie.

Thanks for posting.  Sorry, I can't get the links to open.  I did look these up on Honda Direct Line though, and the frames are similar, but different, if they will open.

Yeah not a very nice thing to say should have kept that to yourself, I have a good friend we rode all the time together and he lost a leg for our freedom and when he came home his family bought him a trike and he's loving life .

I have a trike and a bike. I bought the trike for my wife to ride. Maybe when I gEt older, the trike will keep me in the saddle. I have ridden it and for around town, it is perfect. But for open highways, I prefer the bike. Valks are getting older and getting trike parts and rake kits is getting harder.  I wouldn't trike a 1800. The style and purpose seem different to me.

I have found that most aftermarket parts from the 1800 do infact fit the Valk.
