There was a good group at Hardee's tonight, met another member for the first time. His name is Jerry and hides a very nice Blue and White Interstate and only lives a mile from me. :) there was talk of meeting at Hardee's Saturday 10th or Sunday 11th and riding to the Cotee River Bike Fest. No time was set but Greg would like to make it an early run to get best parking. There was plenty of interest tonight I hope it continues. Am I smelling a good cigar?  :o

Tourus

I need to clarify, the Hardee's is in Spring Hill on 19 and the Bike Fest is in New Port Richey, sorry I'm not very good at posting :crazy2:

I will say TWC is showing cooler temps than the last NPR/CRBF so I guess.  Greg is saying be there for a good spot on Main Street at 8:30

At this point that was being left up to Greg, he wants to get there early because he's selling one of his bikes and wants to park where it will get the most exposure. We may go both days it seemed like Sunday was getting the most attention. As a new member I'm just seeing how much interest there is but not knowing that many members I would hope that someone steps up that other members know and are comfortable with. :-[

I will be in contact with Greg, and will probably ride down with him early in the AM. Have never been there before, so it will all be new to me. Not sure how long these old legs will hold out, but if I can find enough places to sit down and rest, I should be good for the better part of the day. I might even put a "For Sale" sign on the Harley. Turns out there was no oil leak, but still serious about getting a Gold Wing.

Tourus

O/F my old legs won't be doing a lot of walking but I went last year a found a great place to park that had a place to sit also high foot and bike traffic.  :)

You're doing just fine.  :cooldude:  It's always appreciated when a member calls for a ride regardless of how long you have been on board. Good job!  :cooldude:
I still miss her.

Great group we had meet up at the Hardees bike nite!  I would like to leave from the Weekie Wachie Hardees on Saturday morning around 7:45 am to arrive at Newport Richie by 8:30 am and get some front row parking spots on Main Street.  Anyone riding separately to the Cotee River Bike Fest feel free to text or call Greg at 845-521-4721 or look for our bikes on Main Street.  May also head down on Sunday morning too and will post if we do.

We'll be heading down on Sunday morning. How early depends on who is riding there with us. It would be great to know where to park so if anybody else is going down we can all park near each other. Ride safe if beer is sold there !!

Great day at the bike Fest, great group, good food, good weather, and really good parking  location. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. :)

I agree wholeheartedly with Steve. We got there early, had a great breakfast at Jimmy's Restaurant over on Missouri, met and talked with a bunch of Valkyrie people ( James; Ed; Gil and Crystal) along with the 6 of us that rode in together. Met a few new people, one of which was a lady that went in to a Harley shop somewhere for a T-Shirt, and came out with a new Soft-Tail. The place was deserted when we arrived, but that allowed us to get GREAT parking spots, with a wall to sit on and even some shade during the hottest part of the day. I don't usually do well at events like this, because my back and legs usually start to hurt too bad to make it enjoyable, after a couple of hours. Yesterday, with the constant moving and the wall to sit on, I wasn't hurting, even after 7 hours there. Greg and I took a scenic ride back to Citrus County, and really enjoyed it. Traffic was not too bad on the main roads, and the temp was just rght.
