A quick question about Clearview windshield

I have been looking at past posts, and have decided that if I replace my shield on my 98 tourer, it'll be a Clearview.
Am I right in saying that the stock height replacement is the 21 1/2" model? Also, is the shield one inch wider than stock like it appears to be stated on their website?

OK, I've not gone to their site to check, but this is what I know, from ordering two replacement shields from them in the past.

If you order a 'stock' sized shield, the new one you get will be just that, stock sized.  It may be a mm or 2 wider or taller, but is pretty much just like an OEM in size, other than being thicker.

I've ordered two...  The first was a 'stock size'.  It bolts right up to the Honda mounting brackets, and like mentioned before, it is thicker, and thus 'stiffer'.  The second one I ordered was 2" shorter than stock, and smoked.  It is just as advertized...  2" shorter, and the same width as stock.  I know this because I run a Hoppe fairing, and anything wider than the stock width would not fit in the fairing.

 I see your picture and the bike looks great. You mentioned that you have a Hoppe fairing, which I see in the pic. Does this fairing install with a Clearview shield? Or does it have its own shield.
The way you worded you note, it sounds like the Clearview shield mounts to the bike and the fairing mounts seperately in front of it. Is this right?

The Hoppe fairing mounts to the OEM windshield bracket, the shield, the fairing and the
bracket all fit together as one unit...

I did look at the Hoppe site. I see that for $1700 it comes with the sound system. I would like the fairing without the stereo if possible. I can't possibly spend that much on the bike now, but I really do like the fairing.

They don't sell this Valkyrie specific fairing anymore... you have to luck into one to get
one...
