http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/San-Jose-Maine-Coon-27-pound-house-cat-wild-animal-6768570.php

Over the past year, three or four strangers have knocked on Colleen Pizarev's door to warn her that a wild animal is in her house.

These people are usually walking to the park near Pizarev's home in San Jose, Calif., and when they spot her 27-pound Maine Coon named Spock in the window, they mistake the cat for a bobcat or a lynx.

"They're worried that I'm keeping an illegal wild animal," Pizarev said in an interview. "I'm always like, 'No! Look, he has a tail.'"

Ours is 22 pounds. He is slightly smaller but DOES have opposable thumbs.

That's MY big hand there for scale..

Ha Ha!  I remembered you had one of these.  The article said hers is 47 inches long and eats a pound of food a day.  We might have to fight over that plate!

I named the alien cat "toomany"...

Carolyn just named the next one "delta"...

Delta is sitting, fat and dry, next to me now - nobody would want to be
stuck outside today...
