Risers

I searched prior posts regarding risers. Most people either  replaced there stock handlebars or added 3 or 4 inch risers to make the ride more comfortable. But putting risers that size on requires both re-routing and buying and installing longer cables. I have stock bars and a Corbin seat. I am looking for a simple fix- to bring the bars back just an inch or so without having to mess with all the cables. Why doesn't Honda give you a little more slack in the cables? Has anyone added just one inch risers or have any suggestions?

I'm not sure if I am any help as I am the strange one that is 100% happy with the stance as it came however I have seen what is called "handlebar riser offset"  google it. If one found in 1" it should bring it back and up just a tad.  Not sure if there would be any other issues of hitting something however if not the cables should be long enough.   And for sure there others here who have extended the cables and they would be the ones with the experience and knowledge.   Good luck.

Hi Bill,

I tried everything to make the stock bars work for me.  I looked at getting some offsets to bring the bars back a bit without changing the cables.  Unless you can get someone to make something that will work you won't be able to find anything for 1" bars.  The other problem you may encounter is the extensions hitting the top cover.  I tried everything I could think of, but in the end I made my own custom handlebars, and bought custom cables from Motion Pro.

If global warming is happening...why is it so cold up here?

Thanks guys. I knew any options would be limited or non-existent. It's funny, I am 6" tall, but just seems the reach to the bars is a little too far. When I added the Corbin seat, it even pushed me back a little further. Maybe in my old age, my arms are shrinking -(like everything else) ha ha. I will check out the Riser Offsets.

It's a little hard to reach the bars at 6" (inches) tall! :uglystupid2: ;D
I love to go fast, but my wallet doesn't! Maybe I should leave my wallet home!

Goldstar903 and hubcapsc: Boy, you guys don't miss anything! You made me laugh! Six feet or six inches, I guess it doesn't matter when the bars don't feel right.

I'm 5' 7" and like Jerry the stance is fine for me too. Maybe do we both belong to the monkey family ?  :crazy2:
