Easy mod to moving the Interstate trunk back to get more passenger room

I had asked on this forum if there was an easy way to give the passenger on my interstate more room. I think I found a solution that is quick and cheap too. First I unbolted the trunk and flipped it over on to the passenger seat. I then unbolted the front cross member that is perpendicular to the chrome side rails and moved it back one set of holes. The distance is about inch further back than stock. Those holes are used to mount the CB module so I purchased longer Allen head style bolts to re bolt the CB bracket and the cross member. The chrome bar at the end of the chrome side rails (were the antenna bolts to) is held on by 4 small bolts, I removed the bolts and purchased 4 bolts about an inch longer and I made a 1 inch spacer out of some starboard material. You can use 1 inch square stock they sell at any hardware store too. You can shim the back antenna bracket with washers if need be to aline the holes, but I found I did not needed to used them. Remount the trunk back up and you should have gained an inch of space for the passenger. Not to mention the bikes overall length too.
