Well I'm sort of a multiple Valk owner. My name is on the title but the '98 is Kim's Valkyrie. 
Of course I'm the head mechanic & maintenence man of all our vehicles. Any additions or alterations to the '98 are strictly Kim's decision.

This is something I guess I'll never figure out.  I love my Valk as much as anyone.  But why would anyone want more than one of the same bike?  Especially the Valk, which has an extremely long useable life.  It's not likely that you will wear it out.  It's not like they are collector's items yet.  So why more than one?

I guess I could understand having an Interstate and a Standard/Tourer because they are somewhat different....or having one that is essentially stock and then having one that is all custom like Dogg's Valk.  But otherwise, I just can't figure it out.  If I had the money for more than one bike, I'd try and fill the gaps of the motocycling variety spectrum by adding different types of bikes...like a dual sport, or sport tourer, or a full-on sport bike, or whatever.  I'd even like to get an old Harley to restore and tinker with.  But that's just me.

for ME...it's simple (in MY case). I want the Rune for riding shorter rides, making a statement, looking cool as hell, etc. But WHEN i want bags and such, then i want my Tourer. And of course, any bike i want, my wife wants one OF HER OWN too..............so, i want a Rune .....she has to have one. i want a Tourer for the bags, she has to have one. Thus..................the four we have

As far as mutiple Valk ownership, the IS is great for trips, the Standard for one up riding, errands, straight pipes = loud, the IS, stock pipes = stealth. Love both of em.

To answer your question, they all ride differently and I always have one to ride if I happen to be working on one or two of them. Besides, they seem to be a better investment than my 401 K has been of late.

Well I own seven other motorcycles besides my two Valks. And I would love to collect some more, but a Valk is someting entirely different from, say an old Triumph, or a Panhead, or even a Beemer. Nothing feels like Valk, nothing looks like a Valk, it is the only bike that I saw in a magazine preview and I knew that if it went into production, then I would have to have at least one. And there are collectable and getting rarer everyday.
