Just finished putting the goodyear triple tread 205/60/16 on and got it all back together after new wheel bearings and Molly lubing everthing ...wow not much clearance between the shaft and tire at all but no rub or bottoming out with my girl on back !! running 40 psi still feels a little squirrely? front has a metzler 880 on it running 36 psi . Any ideas on pressures and what more can I do ?  I also replaced shock bushings .

Try 44-45 P S I front. After raising the front pressure go out for another ride BEFORE you start playing with the rear pressure. I believe some of the squirrelyness might go away. Gotta rekemember how heavy these bikes of ours are. RIDE SAFE.

Yes, I agree.....you're front pressure is too low. I always run at least 40 psi in front on the same tire, run 36-38 in the c/t in back. I got over 17k on my last front Metz and it still had good tread.

Mike, I'd expect a little squirrely feeling from a new car tire rider.

I run the same tires.  I like my Goodyear at 40.  I like my ME880 steel at 42.  I can only get about 9K good miles from them (and a few more not so good miles), and they last longer at higher psi.  I've been through a pile of them, and they stick and stop just fine in all conditions including rain at 42. You should check the MAX PSI on the Metz sidewall, and not exceed it.  It's OK to meet it (always check cold), even hot; I think it's 42.

People say running a CT hard will wear the center out prematurely, but mine wear evenly straight across.  It is close to the swingarm, but never rubs.  I did rub once (barely), and it was because it had only about 30 in it (periodic winter ride without checking is dumb).

The other thing is the Goodyear gets better after about a 5K scuff in.  My last one went 37K, and had more left, but it was time for maintenance, so I put another on.

I'm hoping you went to metal valve stems. (or a new OE honda crappy one with a good elbow)

I will raise the front psi to 40 that's where I normally run but bike guy at the shop said he thought I should try that should of known lol  and yes I did go with metal valve stems and dyna beads for balance .my dragon gas 34000 on it I am thinking of checking the valve clearances how hard is that and what all would a guy need for the procedure? This forum is great I appreciate all the help thanks a lot

No you're probably right it starts right up no hesitation plenty of power never pops hardly ever use the choke no puffs of smoke or anything she's a pretty sound machine just didn't know if it would be a bad or good idea some have said there's were out of adjustment with less miles.
