Final drive

Put a new rear tire on the I/S and am in the process of doing the final drive service. After I pulled the drive out and put in on the bench for cleaning I noticed a little indentation in the outer rubber wall. Looks like it may have been dropped at one time maybe????
Question is, should I be concerned about this or just try and see if it installs OK and move on?

Any advice is appreciated.

The most important part is to torque the axle with the final drive finger tight and then immediately torque the four final drive bolts right after the axle and before attaching the right side shock

Why?

Because it's a dust cover. Doesn't really matter if it wasn't even there.

Ran my GW for a month without it.
