Corbin Dual Touring Saddle

I got the seat in the other day and installed it right away. Installation was pretty simple. Make sure to remove the padded back ready "head" if your running the Honda factory BR. Its difficult to get past with the end of the seat. My big question was comfort for the price. Like any quality bike related item, its gonna cost and this was no exception.
I went on a trip with some buds for the day to the east of Georgia....566 miles in a day. By the time I got home the posterior was feeling the ride but nothing compared to how it would have been stock. Stock seat gave me 80 or so miles looking for a stop and relief. Corbin was more like 180 miles.
Is it worth the money? Definitely. At least your wallet will feel good against the seat, even though it will be considerably lighter!!

My ride experience didn't really improve with the seat, adding rider pegs made the difference for me. Momma though says it's a big improvement, and that's what really counts for me.

I got my Corbin and, so far, I'm very happy.  I'm not sure if I really needed the nose job (it also reduces mid-thigh support by a bit) and the seat feels lower than stock; at first impressions my knees feel just a bit more bent whilst sitting but maybe it's me.

But the full custom work I had done is amazing - somehow, the 1800cc "sport touring" beastie all of a sudden turned, feel-wise, into a 900!     I don't know how else to describe it.  It's like the bike shrunk 20%.  Between the nose job that sits me down so low at stops, the forward seat pocket and the softer foam (softer?  How did you get SOFTER?!  I asked!  ) the bike all of a sudden just feels "right" for me.  I really didn't need it that low, it turns out, but having a bit more bend to the knee at stops just reinforces the illusion of "Honey, I Shrunk The Bike!".

I've taken it for short 2-hour hops so far and hope that it stays comfy for much longer.  Overall worth every penny, if you are on the fence go do it, you won't regret it!  Just don't be afraid to make special fitting requests if you think you need to, Corbin was very nice about working with me.

I love my Corbin seat on this bike, looks good you can find the sweet spot easily. Also helps you connect to the bike easier and sits you secure so you are more confident on the bike. One of the nicest looking seats also. I Have ridden it for hours and between the bike and the seat have never felt beat up. Haven't changed how it came from Corbin at all but I did order it with the nose job. I thought the nose job would stop the problem I had on my 1500. It Had problems with wear at the top where you leg rubs on it. Did a custom job recovering it after 2 years regular riding because of it wearing through. Almost didn't buy a Corbin this time because they would not do a thing for me on the wear through. If I had found something to look as nice I would have not ordered a Corbin.

Yeah, for sure.  If I had to describe the difference is that the stock seat feels "square", which is why it turns uncomfortable in the long haul - square, hard edges that make the seat feel wide, and too flat.  The Corbin feels "curved" in comparison - rounded comfy edges, a dished saddle area but with a forward 'crown' that allows the legs to get past the neck easily.  The Corbin also feels lower, so overall you definitely feel more connected with the bike as it makes the bike feel smaller overall, not chunky and 'hard'.

I might have more seat time tomorrow but so far it seems a vast improvement from stock, what it should have felt like in the first place.  The stock Valkyrie seat is one of the few seats I've ever been on that feels so "square", and that just hurts in the end.  An amazing bike like the Valky deserves a seat just as good.

Moof, when I bought the Corbin I bought two back rests, one for driver and one for passenger and found out I did not need mine. You can always buy one later as it is $250 for one. Mine has flame stitch and black eye studs.  I could have saved myself that monies.  
Also you so need hwy pegs. I find the Corbin is better when on the pegs.

Thanks for the kind words.  I noticed the 1500 riders in our FL group making comments like "wow that really changes that bike for the better" and "you have really transformed this bike, it looks great"  note that these are not super fans of the 1800c.

Yup, funny, when I first saw the bike I also thought it was ugly, also funny because one of the admins  got the bike when they first came out and had to stop the negative comments about the bike. She actually was the reason I got mine because she was the first to get the Corbin bags and it turned my ideas about the bike around. I must admit the shape and design of the bike can be hard when you are used to the traditional chrome and looks. Once you get on the bike and ride a bit then stand back and look at it while smiling from the ride it kind of gives you a different outlook on the bike. I have had more compliments on this bike than even my 1500. Everyone has a ride they like, I choose this one and am very happy with it. Heck I don't understand how anyone could ride the clown Victories but that is personal preference.
